[ rant begin ] Yeah, I really share your pain Hitomi #1 , the situation in Australia is very similiar. Everything peachy while your connection is working, but as soon as you have problems (especially if the problem is on their end) you're totally stuffed . I had a problem about a year ago, repeatedly had to get a tech out, spent hours on the phone trying to convince them the problem was faulty equipment on their end ( I'm lucky enough to work in IT and have the tools available to do this ), and eventually after a couple of months of very little internet access had to just switch to a different provider . Everything worked perfectly after that, but yep, I too was just totally disgusted at how little responsility the companies take in supporting their users. [ rant end ] |

^^ I hate ranting, I'm normally too mellow, but every now and again things just get too out of hand. Strange how it's worked fine for a couple of hours, since Wednesday I was unable to stay on for more than 15 minutes at a time, I know that because I kept trying to download a file that was going to take between 12-15 minutes, it kept getting to about 80% done and KAPUT went the connection, grrrr. I know I'm not the only one, but there have been a couple articles I've read lately that the U.S. internet service/speed, etc is ranked only 26th in the world. Oh well, worse comes to worse, I'll just get a new service, already called up and ordered it, just need to set up a time for them to install it. Couple of big American cities like San Francisco and Pittsburgh have city wide WiFi, don't know why it can't be nationwide?!
Ok, my ranting is now done, phew, that is until the internet goes down again...be back in 10 minutes!
Grrrr Yukie, it's down again, so much for going to Channel-Ai!!!!

I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this, but since today is September 10 it is World Suicide Awareness Day. I hope everyone knows the repercussions of suicide, how it can affect families and friends alike. I know that I myself was almost down that road. I'm sure we've all had our especially bad days where we want to die, convinced that nobody would care. Look again, OK? Everyone in this world has got someone who cares about them. |

^Thanks for the information..I didn't today was World Suicide Awareness Day
Personally, I've never tried it. But I have friends who have almost died trying to suicide themselves.
One of my friends ate a lot of aspirin tablets and her stomach was almost perfored.
Suicide is really a coward act, we should all fight for our dreams instead of giving up. |

| I don't think I would say suicide is a cowardly act ... a person who tries to or has committed suicide is generally someone who is extremely unhappy with their life or suffering from a mental illness such as depression (which is completely not their fault) and is not getting the support they need. In most of these cases a person has been pushed so hard that they have no where to turn to and they see the only escape they have is through death. I think the responsibility of suicide lies in all of us, I know some people who have tried to commit suicide, and there has always been signs before and I've always thought to myself if only I (or others close to them) had spent more time trying to understand them and sympathise with them the situation would never have got so bad. |

^ nice words, flintandtas. I agree, sometimes people and life just push people too far.
I sympathize with your friend, Rodri. Once I tried swallowing a lot of Advils and I came so close to death, it took a long time to get better. But life really is worth living, I know that much now |

An orgel it is a pipe organ, but in japanese (オルゴール) it reffers to a music box.
The term comes from the dutch word that means organ.
(I don't know why japanese called it orgel though xD) |

Thanks, yeah it doesn't make too much sense why they call it that. Internet is working better, no reason, normally doesn't work until the sun goes down, can't explain modern technology! Now I can post more, though I'll never catch Crystallas, see he's got the lead on Koda because they're betting 20 Euro on the difference in posts between them, looks like Crystallas is up about 600 Euro! |

xD Good luck to the both of them then I certainly would never bet Euro on my post count. My life's too erratic for me to stay steady.
Anyway, I've been super busy with school so I'm sorry I haven't been able to check in with you guys. I hope everyone's still doing well. Being a sophomore is kinda boring,,, -sigh- But eh, I'll get through it. |

Just have this funny story that I thought would be worth sharing.
I was going home from uni this afternoon with 4 other friends and we got on the train at Central Station. Now, the way the seating arrangement is set is that at both ends of the train, there are two sets of seats facing towards each other for groups of people to sit in and the rest of the train has seats facing the same direction, split halfway. If that sounds confusing, here is a picture of the seating arrangment. (Yes, I know our trains suck)
Anyway, so we sat at one end but there was this other guy who was sitting there too. It usually only seats 5 people comfortably so we were a bit squished. When we got to the next station, the other end cleared up so we got up and went to sit there. But at the same time, this lady (maybe in her 50's??) got up and sat at the same seat we wanted to sit in. Now, one of my friends had already occupied the seat so it's not like we were trying to occupy a seat that was already taken and we never asked her to leave. We hesitated for a second though, and then she got all petulant and started spouting all this rubbish about how we should just "do whatever we want to" and something about Asians "taking over the world" before moving to another seat.
I said to my friend loud enough so that she could hear, "I bet this is how Pauline Hanson gets her votes" (for those who don't know, Pauline Hanson is the ultimate bogan politician in Australia who is against multiculturalism). After that, we just went on and ignored her. Then at the next station, she just got up and said "It stinks up here" and went to the bottom deck of the carriage. We were literally just like because she was a completely unreasonable bogan. I'm just not sure why was so upset that she had to give up the 5-6 seats she wouldn't have used anyway or why she chose to sit there when clearly one of us had already occupied the seat first AND we were already making our way down there. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted |

What a strange lady. I'm glad you had some fun with such a ridiculous person. Oh...and do you mind explaining exactly what a 'bogan' is? I'm confused. |

basically in that scenario, Asians are considered to be a lower-class race while Caucasians are the superior race. |
