Age, hmm I think since I entered uni, so around 19 or 20 years old. Haha I think that's quite late. Nowadays people also give their elementary school children handphone.

I don't need a cell phone for a while, beause I don't go anywhere by myself so there's not really any point in having one. People rarely call me, too.

I know in Japan, kids get cell phones at like 11 or 12 years!! Sometimes even earlier!! They need them though, because they go places where they need phones.

I didn't get my first cell until I was 21 haha. I'd figured that I didn't really need it and it was just a waste of money and time. But now since I've been somewhat busy and been working with my other job and with other things in my every day life, I seem to really do need it now. The phone I got is a Samsung E315, it's not much nor is fancy or anything, I just like because it has pretty much everything I was looking for in a cellphone and plus it was free also at the time. Here's a picture of what it looks like.. mines. I like it also since its pretty small and sleek. I'm thinking of getting a new one very soon. The one I want is this, Samsung D500. It looks much sleeker than the one I have now and I heard the camera on it is amazingly good and also I like the color/look of it.

On a side note... Have y'all seen the phones they have in Japan/Korea? Mannn... some of the phones are awesome! I wouldn't mind owning some of those, they would really stand out here in the states Smile.

I got my mobile at about 14... My parents kept saying before:
"You're too irrisponsible and too young to get one"
But, when I got to 14, I got my first mobile ^^

i got my first one at around 15. it was actually my mum's but she almost never used it so she let me have it. it was a motorola v70. i changed it to a sony ericsson K700i early this year. there's a few bugs in K700i but it served me quite well. i have not lost or damaged my phones before, just dropped them a few times. Tongue im thinking of getting a S700i when my current contract expires but im not sure if it's good. anyone using S700i?

I got my first cellphone at the age of 16. It was a Sony Ericsson T300. Then considered good because it had color and supports polyphonic ringtones. I lost it quite soon after because I was wearing bermudas with small pockets and it sorta slipped out somewhere. Sad I became more responsible and cautious and constantly check for my handphone every now and then. Borrowed my brother's Nokia 8310 for awhile before I changed to Nokia 3200. Enlisted into army at the age of 18 and found that camera phones are not allowed in camp, so I changed to Nokia Ngage. It's a definite must have for army boys like me! Smile You can play Ngage games, listen to MP3s, see movies and pictures, read digital storybooks, and best of all IT DOESN'T HAVE A CAMERA!!! Haha, it's a recommendation from me to all NS boys out there.

i can get a mobile phone/cell phone right now if i wanted to, but like Akamori said theres no use in having one if you dont need it. my parents alowed me to get one when i was 10, but i never used it so they gave it to one of my brothers.
