Hi everyone, I'm new here, thought I'd say hi /wave
I found the site while looking for a translation for Goldfish Fireworks and found so much more so I just had to join. I've been a Ai fan for about half a year, but never really followed her music until recently and I've been picking up her CDs since.
Hope to learn alot from everyone here!

Hello, and welcome to Channel-Ai! I think it's great that you support Ai by buying her CDs because that makes you a real fan. I've only been an Ai fan for about...a month or so now, so I guess we're both still learning?
Have a great time here and see you around! |

Hey thanks for the welcome everyone! It's great to see that this board is so friendly. I've been on some others and it's almost scary to even post a question on any of those.
to spellcheck - yeah I buy CDs, but this jpop addiction is making me go broke lol. It's all good though, since they always come with good pix haha.
(for the record I'm not one of those anti-downloading people - if it wasn't for WinMX I wouldn't even know a lot of artists)
See everyone around! /wave |

i think u might be a little err just unhoughtful..buying cds doesnt make u the real fun..there are plenty rich people going to cd stores and buying everything they might like without considering their tastes and stuff..this doesnt make them fans or something..and there are people who adore artists but they cant buy stuff, not because they dont have willingness or the money, just they cant, it isnt the easiest thing to find japanese merchandise
anyhoo
endoresu welcome to channel-ai..we are a nice place here ^__^ |

Oh isn't that the truth. There's a japanese bookstore near my house, and it's pretty large, it's the only place that I know of locally that sells jp CDs, books, magazines, all shipped over directly. Some of the CDs sell for $70 CDN!!!
I buy my CDs from the store down the hall that sells the Taiwanese made versions They're still authentic but are only like $20.
Aside from these two stores, the only other stores that stock jp merchandise are all bootleg or only stock a handful of titles.
Thanks again for the welcome everyone! |

???
I was agreeing with you in my last post. I know it's not easy to find jp music, my point was that there's only a few places I know of where I live, as opposed to the hundreds of places selling english CDs/movies/etc. I have no doubt that it'd be even harder in other places. I apologize if it came across differently. |
