Hi, just joined after finding this place while looking for good quality images of Ai to doctor into some walls and icons.  I figured I ought to introduce myself, too, since I registered and what not.

Um, OK. I live in Scotland, where I go to school, but I'm finished and will be moving back to Canada (Alberta) in 3 days! I'm 25, and I got into j-pop mostly through my boyfriend, who went on an exchange year to the Philippines when we were in university. (I went to the UK.) His roommates were all from Japan, so when he came back he brought a lot of interesting music with: Ayu, H!P, etc. and I got more into it than he did actually!  Then from there, I branched out an tried a lot of different music, but Ai's stood out for me because it was so upbeat and fun. |

Welcome to the forum, kurichina! You do know we have a gallery section right, I'm sure you can find lots of images that you can work on your wallpaper and icons. btw, you should upload your work and show to the other members here, nothing beats sharing your work with others and have fun getting comments and feedbacks about them.
So how's Scotland? What university program you've taken and what's your plan in Canada? I'm in Canada too, if you didn't notice. Not in Edmonton though, I'm in Hamilton, going to 3rd year university.  |

Yes, thanks Eyn, I saw the gallery section. I'm not really all that good at graphics actually, but since I have 1280X800 screen size, I pretty much had to learn to make my own walls as none of the ones commonly available fit!  Maybe I'll upload some graphics if I make any that I feel OK about.
Scotland is nice, but expensive!!  I took an MSc in international relations and European politics over here. I've been to Hamilton before; it's a nice city! (I lived in Ontario for 1 year after my undergrad - not Hamilton though, Ottawa and Toronto.) My plan back in Edmonton is to --- just work. I don't have any definite goals and my studies don't lead to any one job in particular, so I need to just work at anything until I have more direction, I think.
Oh yes, and warning: I'm a typo queen! I always clean up my posts when I see errors, but I'm bad for careless typing. |
