Does anybody have any recommendations for good MP3 players?
The key things I'm looking for are good battery life, minimum of 1GB capacity and not overly large.
Thanks in advance |

| i just recently brought creative's 5GB 'zen micro' it's pretty good. it uses charge batteries, and it lasts about 12 hours. you can charge the battery thru the computer or an adaptor. you can find more info here |

M:robe 500?
You can take pictures and is about 20GB in size. It's about a little bigger than an Ipod, and is compatible with lots of music files. You can also make slide shows out of the pictures you have taken, and have background music! |

I'm a bit biased since the only mp3 player I've ever owned is an ipod (4th gen. 20gig), but I've played with other mp3 players since I've had my ipod and honestly, It has the best interface out there.
There's supposed to be some new ipods announced at Apple Expo in a few weeks, including a 4gig solid state memory (no hard drive) ipod, but can't be sure until they announce it. |

I have an iPod Mini 4GB, it's pretty good. If you have a huge mp3 collection than you might want something with more GB, but for me it works just fine. |

| I have a 3rd generation iPod. I love it, but soon I'm going to have to get a new one. The one I have has a scroll wheel, and the new ones have a click wheel. I like scroll wheel better. iPod is good, it holds plenty of songs, notes, contact info, etc. |

i am using ipod mini 4gb ... i think it is good enough for me..
but i don't prefer getting ipod photo ..coz it is only the colored version of a 30GB ipod... the photo function is useless.....
due to the mini size monitor...
=\
i will buy a SONY mp3 later this year..
can rmb the modal =P soz...
but i think ipod is really good ~~ |

I just wanna tell you guys that Apple has just released iPod nano, it's very small, only as thick as a pencil. There's currently 2GB and 4GB model available, 2GB model sells for 199 US dollar. iPod nano comes with colour LCD screen.
Thanks to broken::dreams for mentioning about this on her blog. fyi, she's a Mac user, and I think she's proud of it. According to her, Apple might have stopped the production of iPod mini due to the release of this new product. |

ha ha, eyn thanks for listing me as a source! And yes, I am a proud product of the switch from Windows to Mac and I'm lovin it!
And yes, Steve Jobs (for those non-apple fans, he's the CEO of Apple), announced that iPod nano will be replacing the mini, which is a gutsy move considering iPod Mini is the best selling mp3 player worldwide, and has been in the market for just under a year.
The only downside is that the iPod nano apparently, has a slower upload time than other iPods, i.e. it takes longer for a song to be put in. But, it's cool anyway and comes in a very sleek black~ and a cool lanyard/earbud thing to hang it around your neck (it's less mesy than the one for iPod shuffle). I wish I could get one~ |

Wow broken::dreams you seem to know a whole lot about ipods. From know on you are like the ipod expert in this forum .
Yeah, Ipod nano is like going to revive the Ipod trend like crazy. I'll probably wait alittle longer to get one. Hey, you never know if they might come out with Ipod watches . |
