You can download it here.
What µTorrent can do
- Multiple simultaneous downloads
- Smart bandwidth usage
- File level priorities
- Configurable bandwidth scheduling
- Global and per-torrent speed limiting
- Quickly resumes interrupted transfers
- UPnP support (WinXP only)
- Supports popular protocol extensions
- Trackerless support (Mainline DHT)
- Localized to different languages
- Typical memory use less than 6 MB
- Incredibly small: 115 KB
Any Azureus user should give this one a try. You might switch like i did.
Wow thanks for this recommendation. I use Azureus, and the biggest problem I have with it is that it loads slow and uses TOO MUCH MEMORY. I have 1gig memory but I like to multitask. I sometimes have trouble with other demanding programs like photoshop when I use Azureus. x_x;
I already see myself never going back again haha. Multi-taskers like myself adore light-weight programs. |

I might try utorrent.
I used to use Azureus aswell but yeah it uses waaaay too much memory so I switched to Bit Comet and that's been fine. Sometimes I do feel like I need a few more features though so perhaps it's time for a change... |

thx to eyn for all the recommedation. Utorrent is indeed convenient. No installation needed. And the program itself is just about 150kb. I dislike to install programmes to burden my cpu, therefore utorrent is my best choice. The down part is that i'm having low speed of connection. Maybe i'm downloading music videos with limewire at the same time, so the download speed of Ai's Love Cook DVD at my utorrent has only speed of 1 or2kb/s...
I think u guys are right. Download speed has nothing to do with the client you are using. Barely depends on the service provider and the server. Well, i just hope that i could get speed of 100+kbps like you all out there. |

| Well, I used to rarely use BT, maybe like once a year, so I just used regular ol' BT. Then recently I decided to start downloading Sapuri and Taiyou no Uta cuz I saw the first few episodes of them in Japan and wouldn't and couldn't let myself not finish them. x.x So then I went to Azureus. All was swell.. until I found out that teh geekmaster recommends Utorrent, and BOOM! Here I am today. Literally today.. I got Utorrent today. xD It seems to work nice. Still gotta customize a few things, but it's very nice. I've got myself a dying computer, so any program that's small and compact is the file for me. xP |
