The thought just pop into my head at this moment and plus, I was sort of bored and thought this section of the forum needed a new topic Smile.

As for myself, I've only been to 3 so far. The first one was a Puffy AmiYumi. The 2nd was a KOTOKO(mainly known for Anime theme songs and such) mini concert. Third was a Maaya Sakamoto one. Anyone else been to any or so? I would love to attend either a Ai-swan or H!P concert in the near future if possible.

I'd love to go, and I've come so close in the past, but sadly, not yet.

The last two times Puffy was on the west coast I had tickets, but then *huge* projects ended up being due at school simultaneously and I had to give the tickets away... Crying Mad
Soo frustrating...
There's also the Japan Girls Nite US Tour, which is a girl's J-rock tour that comes thru quickly... (last time it was held close by, it was at a 21 and older only venue and it was mere days before my 21st b-day. how irritating.)

Hopefully something will come up in the near future. Or else I'll have to wait until I can travel to Japan...

How was Maaya Sakamoto? I'd love to see her in concert...
Did you obtain any merchandise at the shows you went to?

Ahh... thats too bad you didn't get to go and all Sad, the concert was great. Near the end of the concert, they were pre-recording a Cartoon Network New Years Eve countdown sort of thing(like 2-3 months beforehand). Over the concert was great. I was like 8-9 feet away from them and the band. At the end, they were selling the merchandise instantly right after the last song played and lots of people were bum-rushing the one little table they only had setup, it was pretty crowded haha. I only got a t-shirt(which I haven't even worned yet). The rest were like albums... I didn't buy any since I already have them.

Really?! I never even heard of that tour before. Ah mann.. I would've atleast tried to attend one of them if I knew of it beforehand though =\

It was really great imo. I went with a couple of friends also, but they seemed not to like it much though. Maaya was amazing, I finally got to hear her voice live and in person.. words cannot even describe it. She has such an amazing voice. A couple of the songs sort of got to me(if you know what I mean) though. The 5+ hours waiting in line for the concert and seating was WELL WORTH IT. My friends left the room when she announced "last song", I guess they didn't want to stay til after the last song since there would've been traffic with all the other people trying to leave the room as well. And the fact that they weren't really "feeling" her in the place, I don't blame them though, everyone has different likings I guess. Well, anyways, if anyone been to concerts before, "last song" doesn't really mean it'll be the last song, it's usually a couple of encores or 1 more song after that(I guess my other friends didn't knew since it was one of thier first concert ever and/or they just wanted to get the heck out of there ASAP). After the concert ended, there was a vendor right outside selling a cd of hers. I didn't get there in time and it was sold out when I got to the front of the vendor =\. No worries though, I could just get it online or something some other time.

Now about the KOTOKO mini concert. It was good overall. She performed some of her personal songs as well as some themes from various Anime series she worked on. There was 1-2 small group of fanboys near front stage(and yes, with glowsticks and all). The concert ended pretty quickly, I think it was like less than 35 mins if I remembered correctly. There were no merchandise selling for this concert.

I've been to 2 Jpop concerts: both of them Hello! Project concerts! XD My first was in January, 2004 (C'mon! Dance World! tour) and Summer, 2004 (Natsu no DOON!) which was on July 31st, before my 12th birthday and the day before Ai Kago and Nozomi Tsuji graduated Morning Musume. ^^

Atleast you will be able to go to a J-pop concert in the future. I really want to see Ai-chan or Ayu live -sigh- Maybe in a couple of years (DON'T RETIRE YET AYU!!!)
