Hey, i was wondering if anyone has ever wrote a letter or e-mail to Ai? I tried to. But i don't know if it'd reach her. I think if i wrote a letter i would thank her for her heart touching, energy pumping, amazing songs. Then i'd ask if she would make an english song. I think i'd also probably ask her to ask her manager if she could do a tour in the states.
Maybe we should get a petition going to bring her or her music over to the states or other places. I know for the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, while they may not be the most popular band in japan, a very large amount of fans in the states made a petition to make one of their best albums (solfa) released in the states. I was thinking if overseas fans could influnce things like that, maybe ai's fans could do the same.
Also i think it'd be great for Ai to know that she has many many fans all over the world. Fans that love her and her music. I'd be nice to let her know how much of an impact she makes. |

I agree that it would be cool to see Ai in the states, but I don't know if that would ever happen. The AKFG petition was a good idea (I signed it myself ) but I think at this point Tofu Records is only releasing albums of artists signed by Sony Records, not Avex. A tour is a little much, but I think there's always a chance that she might perform in the US once or twice. (I'm sorry if I crushed your dreams... )
I completely agree that she should know about her overseas fans if she doesn't already. I think she should have a look at this forum and see all the dedicated members. |

Uhmm I think writing her a letter telling how great she is a good idea but I don't think Avex will let her go to the states I mean her english is VERY poor (not to offend anyone) I don't think she has any western influences and her music has a japanese touch yesh. We could do the petition but I think it would be useless
Like spellcheck said sorry if I crushed your dreams. |

| I dont think Ai would be big in North America..Her english is pretty poor and to be honest I dont think she would be able to learn the language all that well...and well, I too, dont think Avex would let her |

| actually, i think it might be possible. a friend of mine said that a japanese singer (forgot her name) will be appearing in next summer's AE at california. a tour is probably out of question, but i think because she's not as famous in japan (yet) AE could probably affoard to invite her to do a mini show. that is, if avex let's her. |

| haha, it was just wishful thinking. But i wonder if she would do like alittle concert thingy. Does anyone know who Hiro is? she use to be in a famous japanese band called SPEED but they broke up. Now she does slow work. She did a little concert in Washington state for some anime convention. I went to that and there was alot of japanese people there. But Hiro isn't very popular so i don't think you'd have to be very popular to come to the states. And also i think Hiro is part of Avex too, so there might be some hope. Whatever happens will be okay i guess. =b |

| I think that if Ai Otsuka ever goes to the US, she would do a couple of concerts or something like that. Her music is too good to be the cup of tea of most americans, who are obsessed with rap, hip hop, soul, r&b, and urban styles in general. It would happen the same as Utada, who made a great album in english, just to be mostly ignored. If Ai wants some recognition outside of Japan, she would have a chance in Europe I think. |
