I can definitely see the resemblence. It's looking pretty good so far. I think you should finish and then post your masterpiece here! |

I redid the lineart.
http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/3417/ai4fz.jpg
To my surprise, when I opened my reference picture and the original lineart on photoshop, the height and width of the face matched up almost exactly, along with the vertical placement of the eyes, nose, and mouth. I first took haocloud's criticism about the eyes and fixed them to look more realistic. I also fixed the structure of the face and some of the hair because I noticed that her head seemed "fat" in my lineart. Some parts of the new lineart I kinda sketched directly(since the reference matched up so well), like the eyebrow, the pupil locations, and some of the upper lip. I also used the reference to directly adjust the horizontal placement of the eyes, nose, and lips in their correct locations. The rest I did myself. I'm really proud of this lineart(even though I kinda cheated) because it took me forever to do on a mouse. Right now, I'm having trouble coloring this picture because I only know how to do it on oekaki but not photoshop. |

I really like the 2nd drawing, it does look very real and similar to the original pic, nice work! If you want to learn how to do digital painting in photoshop, here's a few tutorial resources:

Cel Shading Tutorial
If you want more, check them out here.
P.S. The image your posted is oversized, they should be at max 500px width, check out Channel-Ai rules for more detail. |

| Wow now it looks so much realistic... especially with the sole use of a mouse. Impressive. |

Hey! thats awesome, its so realistic!!
Though maybe it would be better if the hair was more "hardly" drawn, like the face lines.
And eynm thanks for those tutorials, I *maybe* try the first one to a spyro the fragon drawing |

I tried a preliminary shading to see how it would turn out.

I'm making a little progress. I don't have much time to spend on this because of school. I think I'm going to have a difficult time when I color it. Thanks for the supporting comments, criticisms and helpful advice! |
