i think Ai could be queen and she actually deserves it...she puts as much work into her songs and singing just like Ayu does...they r similar in ways also...Ai definantly should be the next queen of jpop

Ai just looks more like a princess if you ask me... Giggle

I am not sure about Ayu, but Ai is totally awesome! I can't get round to Ayu's live performances, for some reason her vocals never seem that spectacular. Her songs are great though, I won't deny that, but there is something about how she vocalises live that doesn't do it for me. But then again, I haven't seen any of her live performances for an incredibly long time, so she could have improved beyond me imagination.

I preferred fairyland over heaven, but planetarium is a brilliant song! That an ENDLESS STORY... Those two are my current faves.

lol, ayu's live vocals have improved A LOT, she sounds almost like she does in her albums now. Since you said you haven't seen her performances in a long time, why don't you try downloading one of her recent concert tours such as the MY STORY tour and last year's arena tour. Her vocals are perfect. Love

Blah, "fairyland" didn't really do much for me. It was too mediocre. "HEAVEN" on the other hand was spectacular. "PLANETARIUM" I think is good, it actually grew on me. Before I thought it was okay, but now I really enjoy it. As for "ENDLESS STORY" I'm really enjoying that one, and Ms. Yuna has a pretty voice, I think. I'm looking forward to her next single.

I actually haven't heard Fairyland, but I'm in love with HEAVEN. It's a beautiful song! Though, I have to say I prefer Planetarium to it any day. It has an ethereal quality to it, that I love. It's such a beautiful song, and Ai sounds wonderful singing it. Love

fairyland wasn't actually so bad. The song actually grew on me. HEAVEN is an excellent ballad and excellent vocals with Ai lacks imo in Planetarium. Nonetheless Planetarium has it's appeal too so I cannot really choose between them.

The total sales of Planetarium so far (it's been 3 weeks since debut) are 141,944. Number in bracket represent ranking. Compared to SMILY's sales, which is around 301,000, I think Planetarium can still do better, hopefully the ranking will bounce up when Hana yori Dango starts broadcasting. Smile

1st week: 90,567 (1)
2nd week: 30,882 (4)
3rd week: 20,495 (8)

Total: 141,941

I`ll definitely download Ayu's concert video since it comes so highly recommended Tongue

Heaven is starting to grow on me, I have to admit. I didn't like it too much at first. When it came to fairyland and planetarium though, it was the PVs that made me appreciate them a lot more. Ai looks really good in the planetarium PV! Love

As for ENDLESS STORY... I'm still in love with that song... The PV was a little disappointing though, but Yuna Ito's voice is excellent I have to agree. Wink

Here's the total sales so far including 4th week sales:

1st week: 90,567 (1)
2nd week: 30,882 (4)
3rd week: 20,495 (8)
4th week: 14,883 (7)

As you can see, her 4th week ranking bounce up 1 rank to number 7. We are all proud of our ai-chin, aren't we?! Tongue As a sidenote, she got number 7 too for the daily single ranking of 10/20, which together with "ENDLESS STORY" are the only singles that are released in September that is still in top 10 ranking. Actually, I have a question to ask because I have no idea about the sales in Japan now.
If the total sales number of a single can reach 200000, is it good?
Then, 300000 means amazing for a single?
In addition, supposing it's an album, in this condition how should we judge whether the sales number is good?
Can someone kindly tell me?
Thank you in advance.
I just wonder how popular Ai's songs are in Japan.

That's a good idea, I think I can post a sticky topic with her sales info and constantly update them as she releases her new stuff. Gimme some time to work that out. Smile
