i L.O.V.E my asian dramas. For me, depending on mood and whoever's in it of course, that's how i pick which drams i want to watch and their 'order of importance'
Taiwanese: Sweet young adult love dramas. It Started with a kiss is like..WOAH..haha..Joe and ariel But when i need a lift and feel connected to the world of love..taiwanese drama is the way to go for me. The drama that i'm watching now 'Love Contract' didn't seem too appealing to me at first becauseit was release before ISWAK and Devil Beside You, but now i know that Mike He is in it, i've watched....6 eps in 2 days...which i don't think is a lot considering school holidays is only one day old
- Mike He . Joe Cheng -
Korean: Older adult drama's [I find that it is only with korean drama's that both my mum and i can watch together. Except for full house But i mean Korean Drams tend to have much older actors who are around the 30 age group. I have My Lovely Sam Soon on my desk, and i'm really looking forward to being able to watch it with my mum once i finish 'Love Contract' However what also realy suprised me with Korean Drama's is that i never would have thought that i would like 'Jewel In The Palace'. But then i end up all 57 eps
Lastly for Jap Drama's: I think they have everything. similarly to Taiwanese drama's..they have much younger actors and actresses. Just look at Hana Yori Dango, Nobuta, 1 Litre of Tears. The genres range even though they still revolve around a love story. And i'm so glad i watch jap dramas too..Learn jap in a jiffy..yeh!
So, after much rambling about what dramas make me happy. My conclusion is that: no matter what country the drama comes from. Whether it be taiwan, japan or korea, i always manage to SOMEHOW cry about their love story because it's just.....so....sweeet...
eyn: i know that it says 'who watches KOREAN drama's'..but it had slipped my mind and i have rambled off topic.. Please please don't delete/change my post..please...it took me 10 mins to type I still would like to share my thoughts with this lovely community that i've been so privaliged to be apart of
comment by eyn: fyi, I will never change a poster's wording in a post. You guys really need to change your thinking about what's going behind the scene. What I usually do is give out warnings for double posting and duplicate topics, and no I don't delete post except double posting. If you guys have any doubt, just ask, wild guessing is not healthy. |

Love Asian dramas! It's an addiction that, weirdly enough, was started by my mother! When I was little, she and I would watch TBS dramas. Then, with the hallyu wave, she and I have been watching Korean dramas when we can.
I've seen so many...Winter Sonata, Full House, Hotelier, Goong, Dae Jang Geum, Jumong, and a bunch of others, but they sorta mesh together so I can't think of the titles. Dae Jang Geum is definitely my favorite though. ^_^ |

i watched a couple of korean dramas. Most of them are a bit lengthy, compared to Japanese or Taiwanese dramas. Despite of their duration, they are always that touching |

Wonder why no posts here for so long .... I'm Sorry I love You is my ultimate drama, hard to describe, sort of dark and depressing, well, actually it's very dark and depressing, but in a good way, just so addicting, if you ever have the chancem watch it. Delightful Girl Choon-hyang was the first one I saw, also very good, series does a 180 degree in the middle of the series, ended up different than how you thought it would. My Girl was not too bad either, though a little sappy like a lot of Korean drama-comedies. |

I've only seen one Korean drama, Goong / Palace / Princess Hours or whatever you want to call it. It was quite enjoyable, though I must say after watching so many Japanese Drama's I found the pace very slow. It's also quite strange going back to reading subtitles and not understanding anything being said, whereas with JDramas, I kind of read the subtitles and listen to what they are saying simultaneously. That being said some of the visuals were an absolute treat, and the storyline and acting was first-class. I totally adored the teddy bear scenes at the end of each episode |

^^ My last order, I was debating between that drama or Sweet Spy, ordered Sweet Spy instead, so far okay, only watched 10 out of 20 episodes. You are right about the pace, maybe because the series is longer, 16-20 episodes. Actually, wait til I make some comments about Taiwan dramas, now those are looooonnnnngggg! |
