I personally think that this looks great, assuming it's as effective as is suggested in the article.
Please read, it's much better than it looks Nod

Oh Gosh Surprised I want this so much more now. I don't even play video games that much anymore (last time I played was months ago.) I'm one of those people who like one month am addicted, and then I forget about it for like a year lol. But this looks so cool~ Nintendo Rocks Boogie

This controller is the thing thats going to change we play games Smile I think it's a good idea that it looks like a DVD remote b/c alot of non-gamers think todays gamecontrollers are too complicated... With the REV controller a new (and easy) way to play games are introduced. And with the gyro/tilt-sensor it makes it easy for small kids to play games (if they are playing like a Mario game and the are are going to jump they "jump" with the controller, with the REV controller Mario will actually jump while doing that movement).

To understand more how the Revolution controller works look at the Teaser Video.

Did anyone notice the bit about the components fitting into a 'carcass' making the controller similar to the existing Wavebird. It seems like they've got all bases covered.
I was quite impressed by the Metroid demo, looks like the thumbstick and tilty movey thingy combo may be a step up from a keyboard and mouse combo. The Revolution may become the FPS machine of choice! Shocked

I thought this as well but if you look at the underside of the handset its quite ergonomic, I imagine the two components used together may feel a bit like using the exisiting controller chopped in half!

I'm saving already Boogie Boogie Boogie

i think the controller is stylish yet simple designed
but it's the features i'm so excited about =)
this will definitely create a new way of controlling
just think..4 player smash bros mayhem with everyone swinging the controller from side side and in each other's faces XD
this will be great fun!! ^^

I've been a Nintendo fanboy for years so I'm definitely getting the new Revolution! The controller is looking good and very innovative! Imagine playing as Link in a combat with his sword! Lol. My Gamecube and DS will keep me busy while I wait for the release of the Nintendo Revolution!

^ Well everyone have their own opinions and judge things differently. I wouldn't blame them because this is a really big change from the standard controller 'style'.

I can't wait to actually try it out. With a motion sensor and an extention piece with a joystick, it's gonna be awesome. You guys should check out the trailer for the Revolution. It's wicked and funny! Giggle

I don't like the controller, or do I..? It's hard to play some games with it, isn't it..? Like Metroid Prime games (if you wanna play NGC games with it) But when I saw the Japanese trailer of it, I were suprised, happily Laughing I hope it's going to be a fantastic controller.

There will be a "shell controller" that you insert the REV controller in so you can play multiplatform games... it will look something like the Wavebird controller for the GameCube.
