That's an amazing job! I admire anyone who can draw well. I especially love the way you did her eyes! Beautiful!

Now this is the second drawing from me of Ai.
It's really hard to draw without reference.
Basically i started by,
1. Open the picture from the laptop, stare at it.
2. Remember everything, the outline, and draw a rough sketch.
3. Turn off the laptop, bcoz the power consumption is high...
4. Draw based on memory...

Now this is the (very) rough sketch

and this is the intermediate clean sketch

and the final drawing

So how do you think?
I know the previous one doesn't look like Ai,
therefore i tried by best to correct my mistakes.
Thus this is what i came out with for 3 days.
I was busy with my guitar practice so i did not spend much time on this.
My left hand was pain until i could not sleep.
Drawing all of these are really hurting my left hand...

She looks mature. In fact too mature to be Ai. Maybe it's the facial structure. Her hair is gorgeous though... looks very Ai-ish. Overall it's a gorgeous piece of work. It's simply beautiful and very realistic. I hope you show us more of your drawings in the near future.

It's pretty good I like it but the nose and mouth are a tad too small. It has a little resembalence (sp?) but not very much, the hair is gorgeous though!

i already drew her mouth larger... still too small? haha, u shall compare this one with the first one. The first one's mouth is really small and it doesn't look like Ai. Somehow i like the way i drew her hair, it was a really big project, Laughing

After have a year of not drawing anything, now i have something new... It took me 2 days to complete, and it's the toughest ones i've ever drawn... i mean the hair's texture...

The sketch, where everything begins first.

The ink outline.

And the final one...

I used only Pilot G-tech 0.3mm to complete the whole drawing. Kinda tough because the tip of the pen is too tiny. But it gives an overall good effect though.

So how do you think? Constructive comments are welcomed. Thank you.

i've never take any classes before, is just that i started to draw since i knew to hold a pen. And i'm 20 this year... Further more, i'm a lefty. So... does it make sense? Smile

It's pretty hard to express shadings by pen. I do it with only one pen, without any computer effects. If i knew to use the photoshop, then i think the overall effect would be better. And yes, i spent the most time on doing the hair, it is the toughest part all the times for my style of drawings.

LOL when i draw with my pen, i use my epncil to shade it afta shading with pen [they have alot of lines lines which i didnt like it to appear in my drawings] ....weird me

i cant control pen very well but i love to use it as a sketch and later the REAL THINGby using pencil !!... basically when i hand in art works or gift to my friends, its two job for me but im really lazy "soemtimes" [actually its everytime]..... Laughing

yea i dont take it [art lessons]....well i have to since its a must in secondary/high school, that teacher didnt teach a single thing, she was like oh please draw this today LOL.

But i really gotta say your drawings are in your own style ^_^.... i get nervous drawing the hair + nose since it always turns out to look like a stick LOL No

wo... long time i never check this threat back. I'm having one final paper to go, and i'll be having 1.5months of break. Then i can draw more during my break.

My uni is having this art competition, theme is "reflection". So i'd like to draw Ai for the competition. Any idea to reflect the "relfection"? I tot of drawing 2 versions of Ai, a white (happy days) and a dark (cherish) version.

Gimme some ideas. The closing date is Sept. I think i'll post it at here first b4 i submit for some opinion and constructive comments from y'all.

Wow, that's really cool looking. I never draw with pen because I'm clumsy... lol, usually by the time it's finished hours of been spent because it's had to be erased so much. Anyways, I didn't even know you could shade with pen... haha... well, if you ever need help with pencil I might be able to help since I figured out the shading on faces with a picture I drew a few months back... but for some reason after I drew that one I never got inspired to draw again so I never drew anything after that.

Well, for reflection... hmm, maybe an idea is to make an Ai stencil and then use black spray-paint and spray it onto a white paper, that'd be cool. Making the stencils takes really long and sometimes they don't turn well and you have to keep remaking it, though. But I have a feeling this is a drawing competition... haha.
