So far it's been great here. Teaching English is actually not bad; I wasn't sure what to expect, but the kids are really cute, and fairly well-behaved. I love it! I'm teaching in various cities in Yamagata prefecture, not just Yamagata City, so I've had a chance to see some other cities like Sagae, Tendo, Tsuruoka and Sakata.
The food here is awesome. I've had so much great food...ramen, okonomiyaki, monja, takoyaki, katsudon, sushi (of course, but actually only once so far).
, and saw *so* many cute girls! Yay.

Hisashiburidesu!
I'm still alive...having a great time in Japan so far. My Japanese is getting a lot better (although I have a long way to go yet), and I can wander around by myself without getting lost. I got a really cool cellphone (for free!), and of course I've downloaded a bunch of Ai Otsuka ringtones, songs and videos on it. I took a couple of pictures of the video clips I downloaded (you can use these as your ringtone; when you get a call or a message, it plays a clip of the song and the video too!)...

By the way, I've been posting stories and pictures of my adventures so far, on this little site I put together for my trip:

| Oh, I forgot to mention...I've been looking in all the stores for Love Cook (the limited edition with the photobook). The stores just have the regular release versions, so yesterday I finally just ordered the limited edition from the HMV Japan website (we don't have an HMV in Yamagata). I should have done it a couple weeks ago; now they only had the version with the book of drawings, so that's the one I ordered. |
