| ^ You mean, what should you do in order to pursure singing? Or are you wondering if you should pursue it? |

Yea, I'm kinda wondering if I should do it or not, it's the stumble-tumble feeling you know. You feel like you wanna do it then you don't wanna do it. |

singing as in a professional career? ooo that would be exciting! well what are your alternatives? i say if you really want to do it (which it sounds like you aren't sure...) then you should pursue it. if you decide it's not right for you, find something else you'd like.
...maybe you would have to look into this first, and get more exposure to the idea. then it can be easier to decide whether or not you want to sing. |

Do u sometimes sing like Aichin and Ayu?? ur such a like girl ty i think XD sorry, i don't really understand what you mean??
well, some people say i sing like them...but it's not really that much fun to be compared to them. i want to have my own voice you know XD
Mansley is right. carlito, you can try to participate to shows, i mean just for fun, not a competition. maybe a 'show-off-your-talent'-show? if you like this, to sing for fun, you can keep doing this. if you don't like it, you can stop whenever you want. if you want more than this, you know you want a proffesional singeing career. |

Thanks, you've given me a bit more confidence to do some competitions or something. I remember Ai thinking back then, "What if I stuff up?" like on the piano or when she sings. I kinda think the same thing. |

@carlito- yeah, I know what you mean. It's kind of a tough decision. I guess you should just think about your reasons for playing the clarinet or singing.
I played flute for two years, but having played piano previously, all of my music was too easy. I loved the flute, but I was bored in band, and was tired of having to spend so much time practicing music that I could learn in minutes (we had to keep a log of our practice time). At the same time, I didn't really want to stop playing the flute after I'd put so much time into it.
I began taking voice lessons on top of piano and band. I basically just did both for a while until I knew which one I had a passion for. I liked playing the flute, but ultimately, I felt that singing was more natural, and so I pursued that.
I would encourage you to give both a try at the same time. If you can't take voice lessons, I would suggest talking to someone who knows about vocal technique and then trying to practice a few times a week. See if you get tired of it. If you have a choir in your area, maybe you could try joining for a few months.
I guess with this, I'm kind of assuming that you're just thinking of learning about singing, not pursuing it as a career. But I just looked at Mansley's post and was wondering- are you thinking of singing as a career or just as a hobby? |

It's a hard decision to think if I want to pursue it as a career or just do it for fun. We'll see. But playing clarinet is fun, but I'll eventually get bored of it when the time comes. |

^Yup- if you're happy playing the clarinet now, then just keep doing it. I think you'll know when to switch if the time comes. You can always just keep singing for fun, even if you're not studying it |
