Best of KAT-TUN Artist: KAT-TUN Product Code: JACA-5038 Release Date: 2006.03.22 Debut Ranking: #1 Label: J-One Records |
The long awaited debut of KAT-TUN finally reached the shelves of Japanese music stores on the 22nd of March. Perhaps to make up for the fact they have not debuted until 5 years from their formation, Johnny’s Entertainment on that date: a single (”Real Face”), an album, and a DVD.
KAT-TUN, a 6-person boy band, is one of the highest profile Japanese boy bands around to this date, despite only debuting recently. With good looking members who not only sing, but act (as do most other Johnny’s Entertainment boys), the boys of KAT-TUN have charmed not only the Japanese, but people from overseas. KAT-TUN’s members consist of Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya and Nakamaru Yuichi.
The “Best of KAT-TUN” album comprises of 15 popular songs which the band themselves have performed previously in lives (with the exception of “Real Face”). Is this a worthy album to tribute the greatness of KAT-TUN before their debut?
With this album, KAT-TUN took a very pop/rock approach to mixing most of their songs, where some remained pretty much the same as when they performed it live, and others met what was called “distortion”. With this said, it is not unusual to be greeted by loud guitar riffs or drumbeats in some of the songs.
1. She Said…
A great way to start the album. This song first starts off with an orchestral intro, and then comes into the oh-so famous introduction, said at almost every single one of their lives by Koki, which then progresses with the guitars and drums. It’s a catchy song, mostly made up of rap, but it’s generally a feel-good pop/rock song with an addictive chorus. It’s just such a happy, happy song. But despite how the chorus is supposed to be “She said never look back”, I keep hearing everything but that (it’s the way they say “never” that makes it sound funny). Gotta love their Engrish.
Rating:

2. Never Again
The tempo was slowed down a bit, while still retaining a dancey feel in their 2nd track on the album. I actually want to just say I love this song, but I’d better not. It’s one of the very different tracks on this album, that actually ends up with a sort of R&B tempo and melody, but who’s complaining? The chorus is really catchy, and this is coming from someone who generally doesn’t apprieciate R&B music, so yes, deal with it. But for the sake of fairness, this isn’t exactly a 5 out of 5 rating from me, since, I don’t know…something about it just isn’t there. But Jin’s vocals really shine through in this release, and it’s one of those songs where everyone gets a little solo part, instead of it just being Kame and Jin.
Rating:

3. I Like It
Such a very dirty song, if you actually bother to listen to the lyrics. But putting the lyrics aside, this is definitely more R&B than “Never Again”, and I can’t say I like it, because again, I don’t like R&B. But I love the harmonies in the background singing the “dirrrty” lyrics. I generally don’t like it when Kame takes lead in songs, because he just can’t cut it out like Jin, since his voice isn’t as powerful or pretty as Jin’s. Anyway, people who enjoy R&B songs will probably like this.
Rating:

4. Miracle
The beginning of the song will catch you off-guard, no matter how much you like dance-pop music, because of the way they arrange their songs. It’s a catchy, pop/dance song, but I can’t seem to find a place in my heart to like it. The chorus is addictive though, and you may just find yourself saying “It’s a Miracle, Miracle!” subconsciously. I know I have a lot of friends who think I’m mad because I don’t like this song. However, don’t let my rating discourage you from having a listen.
Rating:

5. Blue Tuesday
“Blue Tuesday” is a very pretty ballad, where the ocassional rarity of all members getting parts in the song makes it even better. I loved the harmonies in the chorus, and the melody is just so beautiful. But what’s to expect from a piano ballad? They definitely sound so much better recorded than live with a song like this. Sadly, it’s so much like all other ballads around, that it makes it very forgettable, which made my bump down my rating to the 3’s. If you enjoy those ballads by bands such as KinKi Kids, Tackey and Tsubasa, and even Dong Bang Shin Ki (Japanese stage name Tohoshinki, a Korean pop-capella band), then you’ll probably love this song just as much. In my opinion, it was a decent song, but not one of my favourites, and I probably wouldn’t randomly remember its melody off the top of my head.
Rating:

6. Rhodesia
I’d like to give this song its very own genre, which is Linkin Park-meets-Evanescence-meets-KAT-TUN, because it is, and you can hear it from the very beginning. If you weren’t paying attention, you’d think it actually was the beginning of a Linkin Park song, and what with the piano, it does sound very Evanescence-esque. It’s a catchy rock-ish song, but the chorus is really whiny when they try to reach the high notes. Yet despite all of the pitch problems, I love this song. The piano tune that keeps coming up will get stuck in your head, and if that doesn’t, then the chorus will, with its catchy Engrish, “I want your love, I want your hate”. KAT-TUN scares me with their versatility in music, especially when they sing songs like this, but I’m not complaining.
Rating:

7. Gold
KAT-TUN chose to go with the dance version of “Gold” for their album. Though I must say I prefer the ballad version, it’s not a bad mix of the song. One thing I did dislike was the distortion. As if Koki’s rapping wasn’t already hard enough to understand, they decided to distort most of it. It’s a catchy song though, even if it’s a far cry from dance music, and ended up sounding more like a pop/rock band song. It is a bit repetitive, but then again, most songs on this album are, since they were originally concert songs, and repetitive=good concert songs. I actually like the Engrish in this song, but a lot of people dislike this song for that same reason. It’s actually a really suitable song for a debut album, since the last part of the Engrish chorus ends with “Don’t you wanna see it when we make it world wide?”, which just works, period.
Rating:

8. Wilds of my Heart
I can’t help but crack up everytime I hear them say “Wilds of my heart”, and they say it a lot. For now, let’s forget they can’t pronounce “wilds” properly, and review this song. I love how the song starts and I didn’t find the distortion at the end of the introduction annoying, because it worked seamlessly this time. Again, a fairly repetitive song, where the chorus comes up more than the verses, but this time, the chorus has beautiful harmonies, and sounds amazing (apart from their lack of talent for pronouncing “wilds” properly). At some parts, the unison singing sounds quite messy, but generally it’s not very long, and forgettable. It’s also nice to hear the voices of everyone and not just Kame and Jin. I always did like this song, and I’m glad it was included in the album.
Rating:

9. Special Happiness
A typical acoustic pop ballad, which is really pretty. I love the whistling in the beginning. This is one of the 3 split tracks (you’ll understand later), performed by Kamenashi Kazuya and Taguchi Junnosuke. It’s not exactly the fastest song around, but it’s really pretty, cute, and happy. I suppose the name of the song gives it all away, really. It’s really an adorable song, and I can’t help but find myself smiling everytime I hear it. While Kame and Junno may not be the strongest singers in KAT-TUN, nonetheless putting them TOGETHER, it works for this song, in a strange way. It’s really cute, I suppose.
Rating:

10. One On One
The 2nd of the split tracks, featuring Tanaka Koki and Nakamaru Yuichi. Aside from the really pointless beat-boxing at the beginning, which I don’t care for, it’s got a very thick R&B/hip-hop beat to it, perhaps due to the lack of actual instruments in the background music, as well as the excessive rapping and the background vocals. The song itself isn’t a bad song, but I just can’t help but find the chorus not powerful enough for a song like this. Still, it’s a really fun song, which would make a good dance party song or something. I just love the hand-clapping parts, and the Engrish, of course! But I swear, if it weren’t for the beat-boxing in the beginning, the song would probably have a higher rating. It’s still a fun song, and if you enjoy Nakamaru’s beat-boxing and general silliness, then I’m sure you’d enjoy this song, or at least the first minute of it.
Rating:

11. Butterfly
The last of the split songs, featuring Akanishi Jin and Ueda Tatsuya. This song still doesn’t sound like it should be on a J-pop album, even though I’ve played it about 15 times over. I don’t think it ever will. However, I will say, it’s an amazing song, if you like Japanese rock, or rock music in general. The chorus sounds fairly typical J-rock and is quite whiny, but I love how it ends, with the repetition and all. Perhaps the whiny sound comes from the fact that they just weren’t singing the unisons properly, and it didn’t work. It’s definitely a song I would not classify as J-pop, but it’s worth a listen. My favourite out of the split tracks by far.
Rating:

12. Rush of Light
The first thought that ran through my mind when I heard this was “Are you sure this isn’t an anime theme song?”. But questions aside, it’s a nice, pop/rock song, with a slow tempo. To an extent, I could probably classify it as pop/alternate rock. I can’t stress this enough, but if you put the messy unisons aside, it’s a lovely song. I don’t have much to say about it, since it’s not one of my favourites off the album, but it’s not a bad song.
Rating:

13. Harukana Yakusoku
The best song on the entire album, excluding Real Face, which technically I don’t count. It’s also the only song without an English name, too. This song has a simple but catchy chorus, that doesn’t come up so much that you want to hit your player, but enough times to get the melody stuck in your head. Admittedly, they never sound that great singing in unison, but the harmonies in this song is just lovely. The rapping wasn’t really necessary, but it’s not so bad as to spoil the song. It wasn’t totally unexpected that “Harukana Yakusoku would go on the album, with it being one of KAT-TUN’s most oversung songs.
Rating:

14. Precious One
If “Harukana Yakusoku” is KAT-TUN’s best song on the album, then I lied. This is their most beautiful ballad ever, simple, yet beautiful. The whole song has a lovely, gentle melody and style to it, so gentle you’d probably swoon seeing them sing it live. Only it doesn’t sound that great live, and I suppose that’s why the album version sounds so much better. The accompaniment is simple, with a sweeping melody that’ll just lift you off your feet. I actually almost cried the first time I saw this song performed live, and I’m glad it’s featured on the album. The Engrish is excusable, I’ve heard worse. The lyrics are really, really beautiful. Hats off to whoever composed it.
Rating:

15. Real Face #1 (Featured only on the Regular Edition)
Real Face #1 supposedly has a different arrangement from the single version, and was re-arranged by Matsumoto Tak from B’z, who also composed the original version. I still haven’t figured out the difference, apart from the fact that Real Face #1 is 1 second shorter. My apologies. “Real Face” proves to take on a very eurobeat-style of mixing, with entrancing synthesizer beats and yummy guitar riffs. One thing I didn’t like was the fact it was relapsing back to the KAT-TUN style of music, where Kame and Jin take lead and sing most of the song. It’s a catchy, infectious, powerful song, worthy of being their first single. Definitely a recommended track to listen to.
Rating:

Conclusion:
While KAT-TUN do not have the best voices in the J-pop boy-band industry of today, what sets them apart is their ability to handle a range of different genres of music. This “skill” of theirs was cleverly implemented in their “Best Of” album, therefore really making it a show of their “Best” music. I actually found myself very satisfied with this album, knowing that while not all of the music touches my tastebuds, that it’ll appeal to someone, somewhere out there. There was also a good mix of upbeat songs along with ballads, which leaves you craving more KAT-TUN. The only part I wasn’t satisfied with was the fact that the song “LOVE or LIKE” and “FIGHT ALL NIGHT” didn’t make an appearance on the album, and in my opinion, those were some of my favourites by them. But overall, a great album, definitely worthy of celebrating 5 years of KAT-TUN goodness, and worth every cent of your money.

Awesome article!! I haven’t gotten into the JE boys yet (XD) but these songs are really good. Maybe I shall change? XD Mwahaha. They’re really good singers, too! It’s interesting how they’ve been formed for so long but hadn’t released anything. It’s great that they did! (and wow, lots of tracks on the album!)

Great review Lesca! This album is quite nice considering it’s from Johnny’s. There are some songs which I totally dislike, but the slower songs I really enjoy.
The difference between Real Face #1 and Real Face is the musical arrangement. Real Face #1 has less rap, and has a slightly more “rock” feeling to it than the single version of Real Face.
Jin’s voice is really nice… especially in Precious One, my favourite track.

Great review~ I loved how you really went through all the songs in the album throughly and also had the song there for us to hear while reading about it. I wished they had Fight all Night and Love or like too~

Yea…I am disappointed ‘Fight all night’ didn’t make the album…also some of their solo works…like Kame’s ‘Kizuna’ and Ueda’s ‘Love in Snow’…Hope to hear those studio version soon…

uhh…. no, that’s Jin rapping for the Butterfly verse. At least, he rapped it live and even though I’m sure it was lipsynched they didn’t change the vocals.

* Koki doesn’t rap on Butterfly
* The lyrics to Rhodesia go “I want your love, I want your hate”
* Maybe Real Face and Real Face #1 sound the same because you have Real Face playing as your sample song under the listing for Real Face #1…

@TM: Yea, it would have been nice if the solos landed a space on the album. I’d like to have heard ‘Hesitate’, ‘Care’, and ‘Love in Snow’ recorded, considering I already know how Kizuna sounds like recorded :)
@Samiancha & zeli: Yea, you’re right about Jin rapping there. I got confused, because I rushed through the article, and it was possibly the first time I listened to it fully. I’ve edited it :)! Thanks for letting me know.
@Samiancha: I’m pretty sure that I got the Rhodesia lyrics, thanks very much. I did write that o_O;;. And it’s not my fault if my Real Face is wrong. My album hadn’t arrived when I was writing this review, and hence, I was relying on the copy I downloaded from a BT tracker.

I like the song I like it. Because Kame’s voice isn’t as strong as Jin’s I like it. He sounds so soft, which is cute. But Jin’s voice just draws you to him and makes you want to hear him. But Ueda is my favorite singer.

This was a wonderful article! I’ve been a KAT-TUN fan for a few months but they have become, by far, one of my favorites! I love the variety of their music and how they can make a repetive song seem not bad and actually catchy. I’m sad that they didn’t include “Love in Snow” though. (It’s the song that got me into them and I just love it!)My favorite songs on this album would have to be “Precious One” (and you pretty much described my reason) and “Rreal Face #1″

Actually, they couldn’t put Fight All Night or My Angel, You Are Angel because they didn’t write it. Takizawa Hideaki of Tackey & Tsubasa did. Thus, they couldn’t use it because they didn’t compose it.
Lesca
// Nov 26, 2006 at 1:02 am
@Dark: I’m quite aware that Fight All Night and My Angel, You Are Angel weren’t written by them, and it’s justified that it wasn’t on the album, but I kind of half hoped Love or Like would make it, considering Jin wrote the lyrics for that, haha.

Sure, they were given as a gift for them to sing, but they still didn’t write it. And actually, every song on their album was written by them. All of them were written together except for the split tracks: Butterfly, Special Happiness, and One on One. Those were worked on in pairs.

Omg - I jsut started liking Kat-tun a few days ago after watching Gokusen and watching their video on a live concert, singing Never Again. Now I’m hooked with the song, and the band, and AKANISHI JIN!!! Lol - I love their dances! And I love most of the songs in their album. I wish I knew more Japanese to fully understand their lyrics though… T_T. My personal favorite in this album is of course Never Again! lol ! And Harukana Yakusoku… ^_^

I Love all the song in this album. Most of the song, I really love Real Face, Harukana Yakusoku, Precious one and Butterfly. The music is very nice and it’s suitable for all the song they put in. I also love One on One song but It is OK without the sound of beat box by Nakamaru Yuichi (because the beatbox sound was too long). I love real face video clip and Akanishi Jin was so…. hot and love his voice. But i was alittle upset why johnnys didnt make a video clip for all KAT-TUN song in this album. I only can see they sang the song when they have a concert. It is really waste. I hope Johhnys entertainment can remake the album by making the video clip when Akanishi JIn Back to JE.

I think all the tracks on their Cd is good. I do find though, that some(most) of your reviews suck. I understand that you don’t like r&b music but you don’t have to rate a song so poorly because of it. I mean, i don’t like rock music that much either, but i know how to give credit to a good rock song. By reading your ratings, I dont think you have much musical talent, therefore i dont think you have the right to be rating other musicaly talented people’s music.
Lesca
// Feb 11, 2007 at 5:48 am
@antoinette: Thanks for your comment. Not. I don’t think you can really judge whether I have any musical talent or not. I’ll have you know, I was trying my best to be as unbiased on this review as possible.
Would you have rather read me going “KYAAA OMGZZZ JIN IS SUPER SEXY IN ALL THE SONGS AND THEY’RE SO OMGZ AMAZING!!!” ? I could have done that, but then there wouldn’t have been much substance in the reviews. Not everyone likes the same music, not everyone reviews it the same way.
If you’re going to think my review sucks, don’t read it. If you want to believe that KAT-TUN is so amazingly amazing, and that no way in hell could anyone think their music isn’t so great, well, you’re in the wrong place.
This is my opinion, and if it sucks to you, fine. But that doesn’t put you in any place to judge my musical talent. I have a Grade 7 ABRSM qualification in classical piano, you call that no talent? I’ve actually won singing competitions before, and I’m in my school’s choir. Now let me hear you say no talent again. I don’t think a lot of Johnny’s Entertainment boys have amazing talents. Listen to them, do they sound like they’ve got amazingly talented voices?
This is judging their music, not how much we love them. Because if it were a review on how much I love KAT-TUN, I’d give them 10 stars out of 5, no matter how mediocre their music is. But no, this isn’t. I spent a lot of time reviewing each and every single song.
I didn’t like R&B at the time of writing the review (I still don’t like it that much, but I like it more now), and yet, I acknowledged that “Never Again” was a good song. To this day I still don’t like “I Like It” that much, because I don’t. Others might, and that’s what I clearly stated.
I gave my fair opinion of the album. I spent something like 3 days reviewing it. I’m fine with you thinking my review isn’t great, but it really hurts when you say I have no musical talent, especially when you’re so blinded by your love for KAT-TUN that you can’t hear what they lack musically.

// Feb 11, 2007 at 10:00 am
Whoa…guys, chill. Look, I appreciate your reviews and I pretty much agree with them. It’s a matter of opinion and it is a little hard not to be too biased, but I think you did a pretty good job. So just take a chill pill guys.
(but Jin is super sexy :P)

akanishi jin has written more songs than he’s given the credit for
he could have gone further if it wasn’t for his insecurity and his need to compare his achievements with others’
i don’t like him because i found him a frustrating time waster yet i felt sorry for him because i can see he is stuck between two worlds
i wish him luck finding his way anyhow
Dark
// Feb 12, 2007 at 4:15 pm
Yeah, I agree actually. Reviews are by one person’s point of view and what they think. If you think differently, that’s great. But that doesn’t mean you have to disrespect their opinion. I love KAT-TUN also and I think they’re hot and awesome and all that. They’re really good dancers and can act well. But their voices are okay. Their songs and everything on their album sound great, but I’ve heard some of their live performances where their voices aren’t as good as they could be.
By the way, Fight All Night IS written by Tackey. I read it on his official website. You want to agree? Take it up with the webmaster of that site.

Well, Lesca and everyone one else who is on lesca’s side, If you had any musical talent at all it wouldnt have taken you 3 days to rate one Cd which doesnt even have 50 songs on it. If you were part of the music industry every year we’d only have like 3 artists come out because it takes you that long to rate them. Im glad that you are a painist, i am too. I’m glad you’ve been in a choir, i have too. And i’m glad you’ve done concerts and have awards, once again.. i do too. With all these achievments you should be able to show you have musical talent (if you have at all) and not spend 3 days rating one Cd. Mon dieu, i dont even understand the language but i know good music when i hear it, and that is how the Cd became so popular. When you’re rating music Its not about you’re opinion its about the music on a whole.
As i said before i’ve played the piano. Take it from a person who’s been in a studio and recorded, composed, and writen demos, it does’nt matter whether you are in piano level 100 or if you just learnt how to play, if you can compose a good song then you’ve got it. for example Jimmy hendricks. He was never taught how to play, he just had it. Thats talent, not whatever you have and call talent. some people just have it. you,my friend, are one of those people who have to work all their lives for it. I suggest you keep working. Mind you when your playing beethoven’s music, your not creating anything, your not a musical artist you’re just simply playing someone else’s music.
I don’t have anything against you,im really enjoying this argument. But the point of the matter is that they’re Cd is really good, and your ratings dont come up to par. End of story. I don’t expect to be hearing from you with your ten paged letters again. I didn’t bother reading the entire thing because:
1- I didnt have time
2- The thing started sounding like a fiction
3- I got bored
4- I couldnt spare 2 mins outed of my 3 days becuase i had to rate a cd ( xD ) as if…
5- You hold a really poor argument.
Do you really thing the people in the industry spend 3 days judging an artist? You either have it or you don’t. And if you have it, they hear it.
p.s. Jin is super sexy and so is kame!!

antoinette, thanks for being such a troll, I doubt anyone would take what you said seriously because you sound just like a coward hiding safely behind your computer while making all these insults as if you know what you are moaning about. Keep being a mindless fangirl yourself but don’t expect everyone else to follow suit. Honestly, save your moaning elsewhere because we won’t see you anytime soon again. Thank you, and congrats for winning the dumbest fangirl award of 2007.

I should also note to antoinette that what writers here are doing is actually a free service from our busy schedules. It’s actually hard work that takes time and effort and it seems that you with all your talent have nothing else to do but flame other people’s work because you think your ‘talent’ sets you above everyone. People like you should actually learn what etiquette actually is and get a life instead of hounding whoever doesn’t love KAT-TUN at a 100% level.
No one really cares about how you think KAT-TUN are the best in the J-Pop market or something or how you think every single song of them is a 5/5. It’s fine if you think so yourself but you just cannot force the others to think in the same way. Grow up and accept that.

Ok, you know what antoinette? I happen to have been studying piano for 76% of my lifetime, and happen to study with a teacher that had made CD’s before too. Classical pianist. And I happen to disagree with you (not about Kame and Jin, because no doubt those boyz are sexy). I have a question for you though…is it wrong that people have different opinions than you? I mean, if you had _really_ studied music, you would have heard from your professors that there is no right way, or wrong way to look at music. Music is a sense of expression, and although there are distinct styles, no two minds are a like, therefore no 2 pieces and ideas about those pieces are alike. If you don’t like the review, don’t read it. It’s not like she’s forcing you to believe what she’s saying. If you don’t want to believe it, don’t read it. No one is forcing you to.

Wow, that’s pathetic. I actually am starting to think that you’re just using this to brag about your so-called achievements. Would you rather have some random person rate something in five minutes, or have someone who actually carefully reviewed every single aspect of the CD? You really think that taking a longer time shows a lack of talent? Quite the contrary. I have more respect for a review that took a longer time rather than something that was just BSed. And who are you to judge someone’s musical talent? Do you think you’ve achieved the “all-high level” that someone can be on? Because that doesn’t even exist. There is always something new to strive for and achieve.
Flamers like you are just really pitiful and really bored. If you really do sing and play the piano and such, I suggest you work on that more than finding people to flame on the web. That or you can work on your grammar and punctuation skills.
By the way, you think everyone’s against you? They are. I’ve never actually met Lesca or talk to her at all, but your attitude just really ticks me off. People like you are what makes this world a mess.

I’m sorry, was the 2nd sentence for me? Because if it was, I was just saying that to show her that she’s not the only one out there that might have talent.

@Kyo-chan, I think Dark was referring to antoinette. Because otherwise, I should be offended by that too D:
Well, at least I’m not the only one who’s on…uh, my side.
If I were to analyse all 15 tracks of this music the way you do, antoinette, my review would be like this.
1. Good.
2. Average.
3. Really bad.
4. Eh, I don’t know. Average I suppose.
etc.
Not much of a review now, is it? So tell me, let’s see you reproduce your version of this review. Instead of just say “zomg! This was the best evarrr J-pop album, EVAR~!”. Because, I know that’s what you’re saying mentally. I’m thinking that too, actually. Because it’s KAT-TUN, and they’re sexy and awesome.
But musically, they’re just about average. Have you REALLY heard a good J-pop album? Maybe you ought to get out more, there are plenty of artists better than KAT-TUN, so this definitely isn’t the best.
I bought it, because I thought it was good. I also happen to be a fangirl. But that doesn’t make it the most awesome J-pop album on the planet, face the facts.
And antoinette, there’s no such thing as level 100. :)

Also, to quote Kyo-chan:
I couldn’t have said it better. Did I ever say you had to take my word for it? No two people think the same things about an artist.
I know plenty of people who dislike KAT-TUN’s type of music. And similarly, there’s no way I could like some other music (Japanese or not) out there. Just like how I dislike Coldplay’s music, yet half the world loves them. Yet, if someone wrote a Coldplay album that sounded convincing, I might end up getting their album.
That’s all I wanted to do, produce a fairly just review of an album/release, and hope that I’m not the only one who has a certain opinion over it.
Also, to everyone else: Should I review KAT-TUN’s “Bokura no machi de” next, just to show what I think KT-TUN is like :o? Because I might just do so anyway. We’re too reliant on KAT-TUN having Jin, so a release without him…was interesting *cough*
Kyo-chan
// Feb 15, 2007 at 6:47 pm
Ha…you go girl. Anyways…yea a review of Bokura no Machi would be great. Also, this is like completely off topic, but does anyone know where I could download “Koimizu” by Hitomi Shimatani, or w.e. her first name is, since I can’t remember it. It’s on here, it’s just not for download on here. Oh, and another question…how do you write a review for Channel-ai? I wanted to write one for Arashi’s new single, but then I realizd….”Crap. I didn’t sign up for it.” so now I wanna know what you do to be allowed to post reviews.

Kyo-chan, are you a member of ChAi forums? I believe, if you get in contact with eyn and show him you’ve got good English and what sort of articles you’d review, you’d be able to join.
Only, I kind of took the JE label, so I’m doing all JE-related released :o

Dear Lesca, I just happened on your website by chance and thoroughly enjoyed reading your review on Kat-tun’s album. As someone who’s just getting into Kat-tun, I found your comments very helpful, and it is by far the best and fairest review I have come across. Thank you for your hard work and keep it up!

First of all, thanks for this opportunity to be able to listen to Best of KAT-TUN’s songs. I am a big fan of Kat-tun, especially Kame! Even if I cannot understand (because I don’t speak Japanese), I still like their songs & KAT-TUN very much… Good job on this CD review! KAT-TUN rocks!

Hi there.
Hey, thanks for putting up this site. It’s really nice of you to spend 3 days just to share these songs to us. It’s quite a nice work.
Thanks also for the review, it helped a lot. See, i’ve only started liking the band because of jin and kame after watching gokusen and it’s only just recently that i’ve finished watching it.
Anyhow, i’ve been reading the comments and sorry to bring it up again, just that, antoinette also made me mad. She needn’t say those stuff. For those who stood up for you(Lesca), i definitely agree with them. She’d probably never show her name here again knowing everyone’s against her.
And…since you’re so good at these things, can you also put the members’ solo songs? (since there are some here whore also suggesting it) Or am i asking too much? If you don’t like it then it’s ok. I understand your point that they didn’t compose those songs by themselves.
Anyway, thanks a lot again! I’ll continue supporting your site.=)

hi!
Thank you for your wonderful review and uploading the songs of kat-tun.
Before, i’m not fond of listening to japanese songs. but after i heard them singing these lovely songs, I kinda loving it. I love kame’s voice. Thank you very much. It helped me a lot for knowing thier music.
By the way, where can i download these songs?
Thank you again.
Good job!
i love jin and kame!!!!
// Apr 14, 2007 at 9:51 am
I think Kat-Tun is amazing, but Jin and Kame have always been my favorites, because I think they have the best voices and they are the hottest!!! So I am so sad that Jin is gone! He will come back someday I hope! But songs without him in them is just depressing for me. hahaha. but I really like the songs, and your reviews didn’t bother me at all. I mean if other people have other opinions, then they can set up their own music review…but each time they insult you, they are just wasting the time that they have to make their own. So to all you people out there who didn’t like this review, go make you own and I’ll come listen to it too! anyways, yeah I liked this and I am buying the Album! Thanks !

KAT-TUN is my favourite artist. I like all of them. But i like Jin and Kazuya the most. Their voice is very nice too. I think that KAT-TUN is really suitable to sing many different style songs. Last week, i get the news that Jin is back to KAT-TUN again. Now, they are 6 people again.
I have quite a lot of their songs, if anybody interest, then add me in msn……..
I have download their lastest album already.
