Yes, I also agree with you that this song is really one that will make people like Berryz type of music.

After Special Generation, the other songs they released don’t fit my taste and I stopped listening to Berryz for a long time. This new song is certainly very catchy!

I must say this article really got me into trying out this single. Despite that I don’t think that Berryz Koubou are not my style, I still loved the theme and setting of this single because it’s so summerish and upbeat without being extremely fast. I also enjoy how mellow and so enjoyable to the ear they manage to sound.

The promotional video is so cute. The costumes and the hairstyles really do compliment to create a young and fresh image. The vocals blend in well without sounding too childish or clashing. Quite excellent. I’m glad you did introduce this group to me. Thanks Laina-chan ^^

What an exciting review! Great work, Lainay! I’m not entirely familiar with Berryz Koubou, sad to say, but I’ve been listening to some of their songs, and I must add that they’re fun to hear. Their songs are a tad bit easier to listen to (in my opinion) than most other upbeat/hyper songs, so I’m actually beginning to adapt quite well to them.

I agree, “Waracchaou yo BOYFRIEND” is as catchy as you say, and it has this sort of energy–how do I say it–this special kind of feeling I get when listening to it. It’s like a mix of nostalgia/vigor/after-school-on-a-hot-day feelings. Anyway, this single isn’t bad at all, and it seems like something I can take out once in a while when I’m in a good mood. Thanks for the entertaining review! I think I’ll look deeper into Berryz Koubou in the future…
