furuete iru watashi no te ni
hajimete kimi ga furete
yasashii kimochi atata kasa ni
yatto kidzuita n da

My hand is trembling
The first time I touch you
This warm, gentle feelings
Finally I realized

tozashita mado akereba
atarashii kaze ga fuita

If you open the closed window
A brand new breeze will blow in

waratte naite kimi to deaete
mieru sekai wa kagayakidashita
himawari yureru taiyou no shita de
kanjite ita kaze wo kimi wo

Laughing, crying, and then I meet with you
The world I see begin to shine
The sunflowers are swinging under the sun
I can feel the wind, and you

shinjiru koto mayou koto mo
tachidomaru koto mo zenbu
watashi ga ima koko de ikiteru
kotae kamo shirenai

Things that I believe, things that I’m confused,
Things that are halted too, all of them
Right now, I’m living here
I possibly still don’t know the answer

monokuro no mainichi ga
irozuite yuku youni

Everyday is in black and white,
I want them to be attached with colours

waratte naite kimi to deaete
mieru sekai wo kagayaki deita
himawari yureru taiyou no shita de
watashi no mama ashita wo utau yo

Laughing, crying, and then I meet with you
Continuing like this, the future will be bright
Sunflowers are swinging under the sun
Staying the same way as I am, tomorrow I’ll surely sing again

kagiri aru hibi wo tomaranai jikan wo
dore dake ai seru kana? ai seru yo ne
kimi ga ireba hikari sae mo
sorasanaide

Everyday is limited, time just doesn’t stop
I wonder how much you love me? I’m sure you do, right?
If you are, even the light also
Won’t leave my side

waratte naite kimi to deaete
tsuzuku mirai wa kagayaki teita
himawari yureru taiyou no shita de
watashi no mama ashita wo

Laughing, crying, and then I meet with you
Continuing like this, the future will be bright
Sunflowers are swinging under the sun
Staying the same way as I am, tomorrow I’ll surely sing again

arigatou tsutaetai ima nara ieru yo
sugoshita kisetsu mo wasure wa shinai yo
himawari yureru taiyou no youni
watashi no uta kimi wo terasu yo

I want to say thank you, if I can tell you now
I will not forget the season we spent together
Sunflowers are swinging like the sun
My song will shine on you

Staying the same way as I am, and you, and you…

lalalala…

The tab is now 90% complete, i might be adding the piano part into the tab after awhile

if anyone want the tab right now leave your email and i will send it to you, I also have the guitar tab for Taiyou No Uta, but both tabs are in Guitar Pro 5 format and in order to open them you must have Guitar Pro 5

i think its on dvd in Japan already

Reply

xakanishi April 2, 2008 at 1:29 pm

Well, the series was originally broadcast in 2006, so I don’t know if you can find it on TV… And I’m not even sure about buying DVDs, sorry. xD;;;

JayVi April 2, 2008 at 7:42 am

oOoOh! I SEE! thank you very much!
hmm, i’m in sasebo, japan right now.. how can i find the channel / time it’s on?
or is it already on dvd? i can go out in town to look for it! =D

Reply

xakanishi CANADA April 2, 2008 at 7:27 am

Yes, Erika’s version is like a show. Take any CSI, for example. The only thing is, because there are four seasons in Japanese TV, a series usually only spans about half of the time it would span in North America. So usually, rather than 20-odd episodes, you’d only get about 10, which is how many there are in Erika’s Taiyou no Uta.

Reply

JayVi April 1, 2008 at 11:32 pm

WOW, that was an extremely fast response!
okay, i understand it a bit more now… so the one with Erika is kind of like a show-type verson of the movie, right?
Thanks again!

Before I go and accidentally proclaim myself fully knowledgeable in the topic, I haven’t seen the YUI movie. I’ve read synopses and I’ve seen screenshots and clips, but that’s it. From this, I believe that the storyline is essentially the same, except the drama obviously spans longer, and so the storyline is (most likely) more developed.

As far as I know, the movie came first, followed by the drama version. But yes, I’m pretty sure it’s the same story, just different cast and longer, as I mentioned.

It’s alright, I don’t mind explaining this – as well as I can, anyway. Hopefully I cleared it up a bit. And if you get the chance, see the drama. I thought it was really good, but you’d get the chance to make up your mind yourself. :)

Reply

JayVi April 1, 2008 at 11:15 pm

WOW! really? i get it now.. so wait, which one was the one to come out first?
so pretty much the same exact story, right? but they used different actresses and added more to one of them?
sorry for being so dumbfounded about this, but it really got me confused.
I appreciate you taking the time to clear things up with me.

Reply

xakanishi April 1, 2008 at 1:24 pm

Not a spin-off. It’s another version of the same story, rather than an extension of the plot found in YUI’s movie. :)

Reply

JayVi April 1, 2008 at 10:24 am

OH! i see. So it’s kind of like a spin-off to Yui’s movie?

Reply

xakanishi CANADA April 1, 2008 at 2:25 am

There was a movie, starring YUI as you said. After the movie was released, a drama version was produced, starring Erika Sawajiri as Amane Kaoru. The review on this page refers to the single Erika sung as Amane Kaoru, which was released under her name in the drama.

Reply

JayVi April 1, 2008 at 2:21 am

so wait… there is a SHOW NOW?
cause i watched the MOVIE and it was Yui.

Reply

Kanesha UNITED STATES March 31, 2008 at 8:05 pm

The character’s name in the show is Kaoru Amane. The actress who plays her is Erika Sawajiri.

Reply

JayVi March 31, 2008 at 10:57 am

I am VERY confused! I thought YUI was the actress in Taiyou no Uta with the name Kaoru Amane?
But here, it’s saying that Kaoru Amane is an actual person that was the actress in the same movie.
Can somebody please clarify this for me?!

Ok, the tabs for taiyou no uta aren’t hard to find.

Does anyone have the sheet music or guitar tab for From sunset to sunrise? That’s quite hard to come by.
