When I first heard Clazziquai, I swear i had fallen in love. xD They are probably one of the most down-to-earth, catchy, and amazing bands ever. Alex has the most attractive voice, and Horan simply amazes me with her light and pretty voice. Haha, I guess you can call me obsessed.

Thank you for the review of this album (as well as Instant Pig). I love all of these songs, and I can’t stop listening to their music. >ow<

Actually, I beg to differ, yukino, regarding your opinions on the last song (da shi) – it’s actually my favorite CZQ song!! It’s the epitome of ‘chill’ – it doesn’t have too many lyrics, hence the focus is not taken away from the melody.

And the continuation from Steps Ahead into that song is just… brilliant.

You’d understand how I feel when you’re in the car and Steps Ahead starts playing. That’s when you floor your engine to get the car going. Then at the end of the prelude, you start slowing down a bit so that by the time Da Shi starts, you’re coasting along, windows down….

at first i thought this wasn’t as great as the first album

but you’ll discover the second album has different attraction from the first one

i hope people can find the uniqueness of this album(it’s really attractive you know!)

so I have given the album a second listen and even though I have not heard any other of their other cds (as of this posting they have 3) and have nothing to really compare it to, Color Your Soul shows a lot of sophistication and maturity, I can’t until I buy the cd so I can put it the player and hit repeat and turn it up quite loud. pinch your soul.

Actually, it took a few months after getting the album, and not liking it too much the first few listens, to really enjoy what this album has to offer now. My friend dubbed this as “gap music,” as in this is the cool background music you would hear when you walk into a posh store, but not pay too much attention to the lyrics. So once you get past the initial sound and just let it play out then it can really be appreicated for its musical complexity. Give this album time, let it play in the background when you are doing work or just chilling and i promise that it will eventually grow on you. And not only that, you will really enjoy the unique beats that dj classi(?) has brought to this album.

discover them when i first listen to kim sam soon’s opening theme. been an avid fan every since. i’m downloading both albums and currently waiting for 2 remixes album from korea..hwaiting…..

This is intersting album, and of course, they deserve more attention world wide! I enjoy Mr Salesman very much, thank you very much for the mp3s, I hope more people will know and acknowledge in the future. =)

Great review – long and interesting to read :) I love CLAZZIQUAI and how unique they are. I think I liked Instant Pig better, but there are some good songs on Color Your Soul, too… like Choom. Looove that song; the MV is good too XD Anyway, thanks for the mp3s and the review!

thanks for the mp3s and review. i didn’t like this album as much as Instant Pig; after listening to this album, the only song i liked was “choom”, and “color your soul” was alright. i don’t think it’s worth buying though if i only liked two tracks

Wow second album, I was going to buy it but after listen to some song it really disapoint me -_- In the whole album there’s only Fill in the night that was great the other song seem a bit too normal not the usual Clazziquai T-T Salesman would be the second
