I adore this woman. Her voice and emotion while singing really hits me powerfully. Add in the fact that she is stunningly beautiful, and she has it all.

VERY well written article on Ayu! I’ve never seen an English bio of Ayu that’s so complete with what I feel was very well described opinions, and more detail than I’ve seen before.

* Ayu, Your MUSIC, was beside me when I cried, When I laughed, And then I was crying, your music pulled a smile from my lips, and gave me hope to fight ahead…I was a bit silly…I found about Ayumi Hamasaki in someone`s computer,recycle bin…And I am very proud cause I look trough bins…( :p joking )
I listened Ayu, without to know speak Japanese…But, just after I was reading like a hyper-kid your English version lyrics, I even started to learn Japanese… All good, till Ill reach at your concert…Hope that will ever happen… he he…

This is so effin right. Even though K-pop music dominates the global music scene nowadays, Ayu remains unbeatable and undisputed. She has defined and set the standards of a “Music Legend,” which those K-pop bishies can’t and will never comprehend. I’m a Filipino, but for me, she’s the greatest musician ever lived. To others, her voice might be screechy, but it’s the most powerful voice that touched my life ever since I heard it. She’s the ultimate icon of her fans’ dream. It was like, “I wish I was her.” And just as she said on an interview, “I understand that my role is to realize people’s dream.” That’s what moved me, a lot. Others may ignore her music, others may insult her music, but for me, for us, her life, herself, as Ayumi Hamasaki, is one of the greatest gifts, one of the greatest dreams, a fan like me can ever get.

To her new album Love songs, may success rain down. Ayu has never done anything wrong. She has never told any lies. So she deserves respect, not humiliation from those anti’s and haters whose idols are nothing but Korean synthetic singers.

Ayumi is most certainly NOT like Madonna. Madonna is nothing short of a whore who makes mainstream garbage videos and music. She panders to a mindless, drooling group of people who wouldn’t know good and deep music if it were blasting in their ears.

Ayumi Hamasaki, I love her so much! Seeing how in touch she is with the words that she sings, and how it really means something, it is a rare thing nowadays and it moves me every time I watch her. She is bigger and better than Madonna can dream about.
