It's only been rather recently that I've been exposed to so many Japanese electronica artists but what never ceases to amaze me is how many of them insist on banally wearing those flamboyant sunglasses. I first saw M-Flo wear it (though I don't know who actually started the trend) then afterwards, I saw it popping up everywhere. This doesn't pertain much to the article, but I just felt I had to point it out when I saw this same scenario occur for the ump-teenth time.

As for electronica in general, I'm not actually much of a fan of it and the music in this album did little to change my opinion of it. The strongest track, Colorful Tokyo Sounds no. 9, wasn't too bad but it still feels like it'd be at home in a Nintendo 64 arcade racing soundtrack (like, with all those bright colours and cutesy pretty style drawings haha).

Oh well, I still found your article an entertaining read and after the recent hiatus of a lot of bloggers, it was nice to see a new article by a distinguished writer pop-up to break the silence.
