Despite the fact that Ayumi Hamasaki is a petite 5′1″ singer, she’s a huge legend all over Asia. Apart from being a singer, Hamasaki is a fashion leader, an actress, a model, a spokeswoman, a composer and songwriter. She is the ultimate icon of fashion and music in Japan, is known as the “Empress of J-Pop” and is considered the Asian equivalent of Madonna. Consequently she is one of the most popular and influential artists ever to appear in Asia. However, till the present day, Ayumi remains an enigma and is frequently misunderstood by many.

mihimaru GT is a duo group which specialises in urban and pop genres, which they have conveniently combined in a genre which they christened J-Hip-Pop. In 2006, mihimaru GT have attracted the attention of the Japanese with their hit, “Kibun Joujou↑↑”.

Kanon is a singer-songwriter born in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area in Japan. Her musical education overseas led her to develop a more western taste in music, which is evidently reflected in her music and composition style. Her debut in July of 2002 marked the beginning of what still is a colorful career and the revelation of an exceptionally unconventional genre in Japan - ‘New Age’.
