As promised, here is an article on the newest Hello! Project unit, DEF. DIVA! This is the next of the solo artist one-time units, following in the footsteps of Gomattou and Nochiura Natsumi (although Rika isn’t a solo artist). DEF. DIVA (yes, all caps AND the period) is made up of 4 Hello! Project members: Natsumi Abe (solo artist, former Morning Musume), Aya Matsuura (solo artist), Maki Goto (solo artist, former Morning Musume), and Rika Ishikawa (leader of Biyuuden, former Morning Musume). Their first, and possibly last single, Suki Sugite Baka Mitai, will be released on October 19th of this year.
The single consists of Suki Sugite Baka Mitai, 2 remixes of it, and the instrumental to the original version. The remixes are titled Suki Sugite Baka Mitai (Crazy J-G Jazz Remix) and Suki Sugite Baka Mitai (Joou Remix). Let’s take a look!

Gomattou is another one of those one single Hello! Project groups. Actually, it is the first out of those. It contains solo artists Miki Fujimoto (currently Morning Musume), Maki Goto (former Morning Musume), and Aya Matsuura. Their style is a very hip hop/r&b group, with the whole R&B look to go along with the song style.
Biyuuden has released another single on October 5th, titled Kurenai no Kisetsu. It is their 5th Single.
Kurenai no Kisetsu is another midtempo song, much with the style of Biyuuden. The beginning has a nice instrumental intro, which almost sounds royal, with Biyuuden being the elegant princesses in a grand castle. The royalty carries through the whole song, with the chimes, bells, and other elegant instruments. This song also has a lot of echoing of the lyrics.
Within the lyrics and singing, there also is a little bit of a mysterious feeling, with some good “haaa ha ha waaa haa” background vocals, which always adds to the fun. The girls voices are very good and soothing, and towards the end of the choruses, there’s a very good, soothing harmony of their voices.
Rating:
Naishin Kyaa Kyaa da wa! is an upbeat, fun-loving song. It puts a smile on my face, especially the chorus part. Having a bad day? Well then, try listening to this song! (also, I hope you get better!)

Nochiura Natsumi is made of 3 Hello! Project members: Maki Goto (former Morning Musume member, but now soloist), Natsumi Abe (also former MM now solo), and Aya Matsuura, or Ayaya as many call her (soloist). The name is another well thought out Hello! Project group name. The name comes from parts of each of the members names. Nochi comes from Goto, the kanji 後 (go) can also be pronounced Nochi. Ura comes from Matsuura Aya, and Natsumi comes from, yes, Natsumi Abe!
Pucchi Moni (or Petit Moni) was one of Morning Musume’s subgroups. It started in 1999 with Morning Musume members Sayaka Ichii, Kei Yasuda, and Maki Goto, (1st Gen Pucchi Moni) but was later remade with Kei Yasuda, Maki Goto, and Hitomi Yoshizawa, (2nd Gen Pucchi Moni) and then remade yet again with Hitomi Yoshizawa, Makoto Ogawa, and Coconuts Musume’s Ayaka.
