Most quad a-sides are quite good, when released by Kuu. This single is no exception. To add extra hype, tie-ins with American star, Fergie and Raggae artist, pushim, were announced. As a result, first day sales have surpassed all of Koda’s previous releases of the same type.

WIND is Koda Kumi’s 29th single, and the 11th in her 12 single collection. In order to generate sales, avex made the decision to create Kuu’s 12 single collection (which contained 13 singles).

Koda Kumi’s newest single, “4 Hot Wave”, is now the best-selling female single of the year, and Koda’s best selling single ever! Since it debuted at #2 (kept from the top by the amazing Kinki Kids’ “Natsu Moyou”), that was quite a disappointment, for a single with 4 A-Sides to only debut at #2 (like Glay’s G4). However, it has persevered and is still currently in the top 10.
