I'm not 100% sure if that is HK she's in. I do recall she said she was going to Beijing, Shanghai and one other place in China to promote her debut Chinese album.
I think China and HK share the same currency since they are the same country BUT HK is technically under special administration ... so their government is separate from China. I could google but I'm too tired at the moment.
Anyways, so there's been changes to alan's 10th single and it's no longer named Natsu no Umi

Ballad -Namonaki Koi no Uta- to feature SMAP's Kusanagi, Always' Yamazaki
The Sankei Sports paper reported on Tuesday that the story for the 10th Crayon Shin-chan movie, Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen, is being remade into a live-action historical romance film called Ballad -Namonaki Koi no Uta- (Ballad: The Nameless Song of Love). Takashi Yamazaki, the director of the award-winning Always: Sunset on Third Street films, is overseeing the new project. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of the perennial male pop group SMAP will star, and the story is set in Japan's Warring States period that has been made famous by hundreds of samurai films. The film is budgeted at 2 billion yen (about US$20 million) and is scheduled to open next September.
There's also been a change to the tracklist
CD+DVD
1 BALLAD ~名もなき恋のうた~
2 幸せの鐘
3 BALLAD ~名もなき恋のうた~ (instrumental)
4 幸せの鐘(instrumental)
DVD contents
・ BALLAD ~名もなき恋のうた~ Music Clip
・ Bonus Movie
The CD only has the same track list as the above minus the DVD contents
This is according to her official site. The specific page:

I'm sad to see that the new version of Nastukashii Mirai has been taken off. I wonder what is going on with this single. First it got canceled back in June because there were problems (according to alan which she had brought up on her blog prior to the release of her Chinese album ... not that she stated what the problem(s) were/are just that there were problems). Now the titled is being changed again. I wonder if NHK has anything to do with this. Do they hold the rights to Nastukashii Mirai since it's the them for their Save The Future show or is it Avex that holds the rights to that song??
I don't like the name of the song either. I think case I think it's a bad marketing idea. I personally think that Natsu no Umi is a better title, but that's just me. What are your guy's thoughts on this? |

a ballad...that's surprising. not.
I'm disappointed about the removal of Natsukashii Mirai, I really wanted to hear a new ver. as it was one of my favorites. "Natsu no Umi" sounded a bit like a second "BRAVE" (which was what I'd been holding out for since Voice of EARTH) to me, honestly...and now that it's gonna be a ballad ("BALLAD" is an obvious enough name, much ), well darn that's too bad, alan gets a little same-y after a while with the ballads.
on another note, after I got over the MAJOR disappointment of "Xin de dong fang" having zero new songs, I gave a few of the Chinese versions of the songs another listen and they're actually pretty nice in Chinese (like "Ai kan de jian"). I especially like the extra effects on "Ming ri zan ge". I haven't seen any of the videos though, are the Chinese versions the same as the Japanese versions? |

Wait ... I'm confused now (because I'm reading one too many stories)
did they release a preview of Natsu no Umi? So they didn't changed the title of the A-side for the single? They literally swapped Natsu no Umi with BALLAD ~名もなき恋のうた~ ?
Oh yea here's the link for the movie that the single will be tie-ed in with

^ I didn't know they released a preview... when I said that it sounded like a second "BRAVE" I meant by just guessing from its title. I've never heard anything about the song besides the title. Sorry for that |

wow, that's a weird turn of events...
what seemed really weird to me when i just read these posts was how new the decision to change the whole movie was and that the production of it hadn't even started, especially when i read "next Septemer" which for me means September 2010, and it would feel really strange to release the theme song single one year before the movie.
then i went to the movie's site and saw i was wrong, haha.
for me, besides being confused and whatnot (and somewhat mourning the loss of the new version of Natsukashii Mirai), i'm actually more on the happy side that she's got another movie tie-in (i've wanted to see something else by the guy that made the Always 3Chome no Yuuhi movies ). also, Aragaki Yui is in one of the leading roles!
i don't know, but releasing a single with the name Natsu no Umi in September does seem a bit weird, you know? i don't really like the thought, but i've been thinking that maybe they're postponing it... until next summer? and i was also thinking that maybe they're saving the new version of Natsukashii Mirai for the Natsu no Umi single, but it also seems weird to let it wait for a year, if they're doing what i was thinking. this is, of course, in case they haven't just changed the title of the song.
and in case you haven't seen this before, here's a link to a blog that translates her blog entries:
Japanese blog translations
Chinese blog translations
her blog entries are so cute and... weird, lol...
and just to clear it up, this entry has the pics sakuraangel posted on the previous page, and it is indeed Hong Kong she is in. |

^ thanks for the links, even though their a bit behind, it's since nice to see the translations all on once place. I think you are right. I read in another Chinese community, that those pictures (the last two anyway, were at an HMV in HK. So now, not only (based on the pix) is her album in the J-pop section, her album (even though it's in Mandarin) is in the Japanese/Korean chart for HMV HK. She's currently ranked 9th ...

Chinese version of Gunjou no Tani
I think there's a slight difference, especially the beginning but that's about it
Chinese version of Ashita e no Sanka
Chinese version of Sora Uta
And lastly a new promo picture from alan's official Japanese website
Maybe this means the covers are coming out soon ... maybe |

^ thanks for the videos. The one for "Ming ri zan ge" was actually hilarious. I think she made the Chinese lyrics rhyme with the Japanese ones on purpose so she didn't have to make a new video so it would just look like she was lip-syncing to the Chinese ones. I'm kinda disappointed they didn't film a new video, but like I said before, she must be a busy busy person. That being said, the end part of the "Ashita he no sanka" video never ceases to amaze me. |

"BALLAD", what a creative song title . No, just kidding, I'm not very satisfied with the changed title and the new tracklist. But the promo pic looks nice |

i think the title could be translated to BALLAD ~A Nameless Love Song~, but it could also be ~A Song for a Nameless Love~. i think. i'm not experienced with なき and not sure what も is doing there.
i quite like the title, having in mind that it's more the title of the movie than the song. though i have to admit it is kinda weird they have the same title... |

didn't that almost happen to Ai Otsuka with Renai Shashin though? Some of you might know better than me since you may have been longer fans. I recall when I started to get more interested in Ai, was when trailers and info about Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru came out.
I sort of recall that back around that time the director of the movie decided to change the movie title because of Ai's song. Originally the movie would have been named Renai Shashin since that was the titled of Takuji ichikawa book (though I think the official title is longer ... some thing like renai shasin mouhitotsu no monogatari). But the director of the movie liked Ai's song so much he decided to take a line of her song and used it for the movie title
or maybe I'm just being delusional again XD
I've been thinking and thinking about it, if it's a good idea. It does seem like a lot of people online are dissing this decision, from J-pop forums to Chinese communities but maybe their reason behind is that they saw how good the second Red Cliff single (even making it to #1 single on the daily chart ... granted I think it was only for a day or so) and wanted to market this single in a similar way ... via [big?] movie tie-in There's no doubt the movie tie-in will be good for the single sales wise especially if the movie is a big hit but short form of the title "Ballad" does draw attention ... positive or negative, I guess we'll find out more when the single actually comes out. |

| wow, haha, i didn't even know that Ren'ai Shashin was the theme song for Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru, even less that the title was taken from a line in the song. i became a fan somewhere in between Yumekui and Ren'ai Shashin, so i should've heard about that..... |

@mangomalte: they played it during the end credits, I'm pretty sure
@sakuraangel: I thought the original title was supposed to be "Heavenly Forest" ? that's what I heard |
