Wow Rodri, the 2nd pictures is incredible! The 3rd one too, is it a church? I would love to see your city too, it seems a very funny and impressive place to go  ! |

^ Yeah, the third is a church...I was actually there yesterday xD
The whole historical center (hte downtown) was haveing artistic presentations because of the 200 years of the declaration of independence which was the first one of latin america ^^
The churches at night are amazing!!
This is the "Basilica del Voto Nacional" church, the same as the 3rth picture:
It's the only gothic church in Quito, the others are Barroque (And there's a lot of other churches xD There's 10 just in the downtown) |

Nice pictures Rodri,  never knew the city was that big! That mountain in the background looks good, reminds me of Mt. Fuji... you say you've never touched snow, looks like there's plenty up there for you!  |

^ Haha..the mountain on the pic looks near because it's one of the biggest volcanoes on the world xD..and It's on a province at the south of mine..It's called Cotopaxi (the province and the volcanoe) and I've never been there  ...also, the snow is too high so it's almost unreacheble if you wanna breath...(Quito is the second highest city in the world)
That's why I haven't touch snow xD
The other mountains in the second pic have snow just when the day is too cold and their unreachable
The mountain in the center is called "Guagua Pichincha" (guagua means child in kichwa and Pichincha is the name of the province) It's an active volcano. I remember that it erupted when I was a kid xD
Here's a pic of the eruption:
There's a telepheric and an amusement park on the mountain, you have an amazing view from there.
Luckily there weren't more eruptions of the volcanoe so they're intact xD
I remember that when it erupted the whole city was covered with ashes |
