Ok, I was interested to hear what do you think about this.
Ai-chan has 5 studio albums up to date (LOVE PUNCH, LOVE JAM, LOVE COOK, LOVE PiECE, LOVE LETTER) and a best of album (Ai am Best). We all know, her sales were better in the past, they dropped with her LOVE PiECE Album, LOVE LETTER just sold 179.000 copies T_T.
So what do you think about her current works as a musican: Do you like LOVE PiECE and LOVE LETTER? Do you love her older songs better? Or do you prefer hew new songs?
Please answer and let me know what you think about it ! |

I find it really hard to listen to LOVE JAM and LOVE PUNCH in full. Maybe I overplayed them years ago, but also because her recent music was a little bit more mature as well. I mainly listen to LOVE LETTER and LOVE COOK. LOVE PiECE I don't visit that often but I should.
Bye Bye was a fantastic single, everything about it was perfect, melody, lyrics, cover. And it sold well for a recut single. I wonder what Ai has in mind next, I really think she's going on hiatus. |

I love the old 'Girly' style of Ai, and I also love the new mature 'lady like' style of Ai. I just love Ai!
Doesn't everyone on this forum? |

Hard to judge it. Every album have its own great songs. So I vote "love all songs". |

Good points, you are right, though I must admit I will never get tired of those first 3 albums, I still play them more than her recent stuff- but they're all good! |

Well while I did seriously overplay PUNCH and JAM back then, i still love to listen to them now and again, as for her more current music, I really love love love LETTER. While I don't want Ai-chin to go back to the PUNCH style, I do hope she keeps a few of her bubbly elements in her music |

it's definitely very different, ai's music from before-LOVE PiECE and after-LOVE PiECE. one's definitely more mature than the other.
but both definitely have ai's beautiful voice in them, and that's what make her songs good~

I chose I love both , while I definitely agree with cabal in that there is more maturity in her later songs, her earlier songs are still nevertheless unbelievably beautiful which kind makes that comment feel a bit strange. I do miss some of her fun songs though, there seems to be a few less of them at the moment. |

I really prefer news albums than older ones.
Love Piece and Love Letter sound mature unlike the others (Love Cook are between her old kind of songs and new kind of..). |

it is difficult for me to give an answer...
I like her old songs cause they're fun. Happy Days, GIRLY, Kataomoi Daiaru and etc. They're always fun to listen, especially when I'm happy- these songs just make me feel even happier! Her slower songs like Daisuki dayo and Kingyo Hanabi are simple and I could feel the innocence in it (couldnt find a better word to describe )
Then of course her new songs, like most of you had pointed out, is more mature, and had a wider "LOVE" theme. She doesnt just associate LOVE with romance, but also with family and friends. This is what I like about her recent songs, like LOVE LETTER, and Ai... they just give a very warm feeling, making you want to believe and cherish the people around you no matter what.
In the newer album, fun songs are not that fun IMO, and there are more mid-tempo songs, like Kimi Fetch and Hoshi no Tango. But her ballads became more meaningful (Kumuriuta, Pocket). So I think I'll conclude by saying I prefer her old fun songs, and her newer ballads. |

Ai-Chan has developed beautifully as a songwriter since her career began. I voted that I love all of her songs, because I really do. I have to say, though, that Pocket, Rocket Sneaker, Kurage, Nagareboshi, and Ai are her best songs yet... closely followed by 360.
Love Letter doesn't hold together as an album, as well as Love Piece though. I think that Love Piece is her best album. Every song is really, really great... and the playing order is perfect for listening to the whole album from beginning to end. But Love Letter has better songs. They just don't sound right playing one after the other.
And now that I've said all that, my favorite song is Kataomoi Dial... and that's way back from the Love Punch days. Love Punch is also a great album.
I guess I'd like to finish this post by saying that I think that Ai is at her best... right now. Here's hoping she keeps growing as an artist and songwriter. |

| Altough I love all her songs, I prefer her older songs (esp. LOVE JAM & LOVE COOK), since it feel more sentimental to me. I remember listeting to that when had hard time. ANyway, nevertheless, her older songs had THAT feeling, You know what I mean? I love her but sometimes I just think (while listening smething from her new stuff) that I heard it before. Of course I'm not talking about ALL new stuff xD Just few songs or so xD The rest is as great as usual xD |

| i liked both love piece and love letter songs like kumuriuta and one x time but honestly those albums in general in my opinion dont hold a light to love cook or love jam. i like yumekui the most out of all her songs but i dont really count that as part of love piece ear since it came out i think maybe 1 or 2 years before that album. |
