I was just wondering if anyone is getting annoyed by ai? I'm sure everyone loves her, but am i the only one who's getting alittle annoyed by sakuranbo. >_< I've heard it so many times. And it's like everywhere she goes. Not as much recently though. Like in interviews and CMs. Wasn't it her 2nd single? that was kinda awhile ago right? a year maybe? Also in the DVD JAM PUNCH Tour they wanted her to do an encore of that song.... *sigh.
just wondering if i'm the only one start to get tired of that song. I still think it's an awesome song but i think after the 7,000th time it's start to get just alittle bit annoying, i think. What do you think? is anyone getting sick of any other song?

I agree. I never liked at first, it took a while to get used to, I enjoy it sometimes, but after a while it gets on my nerves. She has better songs than "sakurambo", but it seems that most people in Japan are obsessed with that ONE song. It is annoying. I'm annoyed of that song, but of Ai herself? No way, she doesn't annoy me.

Sorry, but I don't agree with you at all. I think Sakuranbo is a really cool song and I enjoy listening to it, it's a happy song that will make your happy. Boogie

I think you think it's annoying because it was such a success in Japan, I bet? People tend to hate popular stuff, think that it is way too "common" and nothing unique to be enjoyed? Sakuranbo is a very typical Japanese funky music, where else would you find melody and arrangement like that in western music? (which makes it special IMO)

I don't listen to that song everyday so I am not sick of it yet. I don't know why you have to listen to it 7000th times to be annoyed by it, as usually I play her whole album all at once instead of repeating the same song again and again. So yeah, I think anyone can get annoyed by the most beautiful song in the world if he listen to it for 4 years straight. Tongue

I think you should stop thinking how annoying Ai is, because she's the coolest J-Pop artist right now! Back then when Ayu was my only idol in J-Pop, I was thinking "What will happen if she retired? Will I lose my faith in J-Pop?", the answer is a clear NO right now because of Ai. You know how grateful I am for her to be there, producing cool music and be her real self by laughing loudly whenever she can, just like an ordinary girl.

P.S. Planetarium sounds "very" awesome, I think that's something you should look forward for if you start to think Ai is annoying. The preview is available in the JAM PUNCH Tour 2005 offshot clips.

haha Tongue yeah. I do somewhat dislike popular things but the any j-pop for the most part is popular and i really love ai. Sakuranbo is a real positive song, but it's getting repetitive, you gotta admit that.
But Ai is the greatest ever!

and i havent' seen the planetarium single out. when is it going to be out with the PV in stores?

i am a gigantic fan of aichan. but sakuranbo, it's not excactly annoying, but over-rated. yeah, thats the right word. and i wonder why only that song is being noticed, and not the newer and better songs like 'cherish' and 'natsu sora'. it just puzzles me, because nobody ever gets tired of sakuranbo. i already know all the words to sakuranbo, because i've heard it sooo many times >< i mean, don't get me wrong. i love sakuranbo. very cute and bouncey song. but that brings me to my conclusion..so is smily, and happy days! why always sakuranbo...always >< Mad
when sakuranbo wasn't all popular, i used to think ai meant something in the song. now i'm just getting the slight feeling she keeps on singing it is because her fans want to hear it 66545634897356478384 times a day Blank stare

well the point is not listening to a song again and again..i know i do so many times but i stopped doing so..when i like a song i listen to it around three times then change to many others then putting it again..this way saves me from getting bored of a song in 2 days..sakuranbo is a very good song, it is over-rated and i dont love it as much i used to in the past..regarding sakuranbo, im not annoyed by ai herself but by other people that think that ai is only a sakuranbo song..plus u dont know how much a song can mean for an artist thus wanting to sing it often

well.. i also do not understand why sakuranbo is so popular among the japanese.. probably a cute song? however, i think all the songs are really nice.. no matter how many time i hear it i wun ever get bored.. i think that Ai should compose more songs and release her singles faster... or provide more news for us.~

well, before knowing Ai i admire Mika Nakashima.. she's very pretty and have a great fashion sense =)

I didn't exactly like Sakuranbo either, and was puzzled how popular the song was. The first song I actually liked was Sensu (when everyone else commonly liked well known songs like Kingyo Hanabi). It isn't my favourite song now but I have gotten used to the tune by now. Smile The song's still cool with me. Well, I'll probably be annoyed by it soon enough hehe. But I'll never be tired of listening to Kingyo Hanabi!

I don't think she's annoying, but I do listen to her songs so much that I need to take a break from listening to them. Especially Sakuranbo. I love it, but I don't listen to it that much anymore.

Probably it's just an overrated song. Like it's ALWAYS played on events and maybe that's why it's getting annoying to some people. But Japanese still love it. It makes me laugh when seeing adults jumping to her song when she's singing it in events XD and as Clover said her screams are quite annoying. I wish she wouldn't try behaving like a young kid sometimes but otherwise she's quite cute and not annoying.

I think Sakuranbo is alright, though I do enjoy her sad songs more than her happy songs.

Oh it's not only because sakuranbo is a lively song. Japanese discovered Ai-chin through this song (momo no hanabira didn't sell very well). So Sakuranbo became the symbol of her popularity, and is like a signature for her now.
Furthermore, Sakuranbo isn't her greatest single ( i hope she'll always make single better than the old one Wink ) but it defines the Ai-chin style so it is logical that the majority of the fans likes it Mad

Well i like Ai-chin, she can't bore me because she's so lively ^^ She's always funny during her appearances at tv shows. So she keeps me cool Boogie
