actually, the very first Japanese CD i got like three years ago was an Aya CD... a special box called LOVE GIFT 2002 with a bunch of stuff in it: towel, wristband, pictures, toilet bag and a message CD. Yeah, and you didn't trick me the second time ... I was thinking that doesn't sound like an Aya release I know of ... and lo and behold |

now unfortunately for you Uetty fans, this was Matsuura Aya. i dunno if i'd even heard of Ueto Aya at the time. sorry to say, i don't have any Uetty items at all. not saying that i don't like her music, but there's so many other artists that got albums that i'd rather get, and my wallet isn't too thick. if i find one of her movies or photobooks cheap somewhere i think i'd rather buy that.
oh, btw, thanks for the BREATH PB.
Aya debuted on 2002....so it's just ok.... hehe
as for me... I just knew aya a few months ago.... so I have lots of catching up and unfortunately my wallet is not that thick too...

i do to a certain extent. and i've been doing subbing since about two years back, mostly Morning Musume related stuff. i've got experience as timer (what i do best), TSer (not karaoke that much, though) and encoder (not that much). when it comes to translating i have done a lot of that, but i always end up with a lot of gaps that needs filling... so unless there's someone better than me at translating, project will end up half finished (story of my subbing career.... lol).
anyways, i enjoy subbing, but i hate when it becomes a burden and something i feel like i have to do (which unfortunately seems to happen pretty fast lately). atm i'm pretty busy with school and real life too. i'd love to sub something Aya related, but when i'm less busy and if it's not too long and not too hard. that said, something with Ai in wouldn't be bad either. (you have any vid with them together? )
that's really cool!!!! this is the first time (I think?) that I had met a subber.... thanks for your hardwork.. I salute you!!!
as for Aya and Ai vids... I think I don't have one... |

LOL.... While I'm reading mangomalte post at that part I was like... EHHH? I haven't remember that aya had released a CD with those stuff... hehe and as I said earlier Pureness single was born in that year hehe.... I'm glad he didn't get me there.... hahaha |

just because i felt like it.... i ended up translating that Breath photobook.
not the interview in the end, though, i'm not that fast. sorry if a lot of it sounds weird, lol.
Front page slip:

20 years old commemoration
Ueto Aya Photobook "Breath" (Breath)
Does it reach you, Aya's breathing?

Page 11:
I wonder if I'm laughing/smiling.
Page 27:
The 19 year old me is always smiling/laughing.
Just by being together with him, even if I/he(?) doesn't want to be together, (i might be wrong on the second part)
He is a being in this world, how much can I smile/laugh just because of that truth?
If he exists (/if I had him), I could become the happiest in the world,
I believed that from the bottom of my heart.
Page 42:
I only do it during summertime, I went and saw a night carnival.
Page 45:
19 year old me.
A trip with just the two of us. First time welcoming the morning. (?)
Page 71:
Just about everything .... fresh ..., just about everything... happiness ....
(i'm confused by this sentence... there might be something implied, 'cause there are no verbs. something about a connection between freshness and happiness.)
Page 75:
The new me.
Page 82:
Things I want to forget, things I can't forget.
Things I should forget, things I must not forget.
If I can accurately put them in order in my mind,
I might become an adult with a true meaning.
(last line was hard... "true meaning" is at least better than "meaning of seriousness")
Page 85:
If I ever swear eternity in a place like this
I just thought, my hand, he would take it softly.
(unsure about the tense in this one... also, notice that she's at a church)
Page 95:
20 year old me. The me from now on.
With manners differing from the 19 year old me,
I'll become a person that, not for anyone's sake, laughs neatly.
Page 105:
Like that. Before I was aware of it, I was laughing.
Page 114:

- Things I want to say Just now "Just now".
Aya's 宝物 File - Aya's Treasure File
Ueto Aya Fashion <something> (can't seem to find that kanji...)

that's all for now. i'm expecting visitors any minute now. |

Oh wow, so much to download ... I've been downloading continuously today, and I just noticed that there is some more stuff on page 3.
So far I've listened to J-Wave Boom Town broadcast and jeez Aya's so cute. I can only understand about half of it but mostly Aya's talking about her family, how she won the special prize at the talent contest generally about her rise to fame. Even the bits I can't understand are enjoyable too, just the sound and expression in Aya's voice is so cute.
Also watched the first of the Arashi specials, haha those reverse plays are so funny, it's amazing how well they came out. ( I wonder what I would have thought if I watched that without subtitles - I'm sure I wouldn't have realised what they are doing ). I love these variety shows, they always do such weird and funny things
Thanks so much for the downloads tinyamaki - I'm really enjoying them
@mangomalte - thanks for the translation, I think your japanese is more advanced than mine so I might try reading it myself later on and seeing how it compares to yours |

^ thanks a lot for those!
and about the translation, you're both welcome.
i'm currently watching Koukou Kyoushi 2003, and i love it! the plot is very interesting, and Hina is such a sweet girl. kawaisou na...
anyway, watching it i noticed the scar under her lip again, and i've been wondering about that before. my first and still standing thought is that it comes from some lip surgery... i was just wondering if anyone knew for sure. |

^^ Nice, more photobooks I've copied them all to the OP. Also added some others that I have:
[Image.tv] Treasures of Asia (Actually I think Tinyamaki has already posted most of the images from this set already)
16 Sai no Irodori
Aya Ueto - NS Eyes Special Feature #240
Aya Ueto - NS Eyes Special Feature #241
@mangomalte - I got no idea if she has had lip surgery before - never heard anything along those lines. Haven't noticed a scar either, though she has a scar on her forehead from when she famously got whacked across the head on the opening shooting of Azumi. There is actual footage of that on the special features of the DVD too if you haven't seen it - it definitely was a decent whack. She showed quite amazing courage returning to the shooting the next day
Glad your enjoying Koukou Kyoushi, yep Aya really is an angel. I won't say any more so I don't spoil it for you and I'd just be repeating what I said in the 'What Drama are you currently watching' thread anyway. |
