Oh man. Alright. Just to get a good idea about what you mean then, what would you determine is a fringe? Wikipedia says it's a front section of hair that has been cut off, but everyone knows them in North America as 'bangs'. The fringe that I'm used to (and widely known in the Caribbean islands and some parts of Europe) is when hair is scrunched up in waves or tight curls either small, long, or medium-sized, which can also be called 'crimping'. |

well, wikipedia says a fringe is hair that "hangs or curls over the forehead". that sounds like the meaning i know of for fringe, so lets go with that. |

No, nothing to feel awkward about! Your captions are hilarious and I definitely think Ai herself would love them -- especially as the flip side to any serious interpretation/intention. You know she doesn't believe in taking herself too seriously.
Those two just really struck a chord with me (though I suppose in a different way than the July/Aug pic for all you males ). I know how important the Hanshin Tigers are to Kansai natives, so my mind instantly went there upon seeing the tiger costume.

That was the first thing I noticed too! I thought it was a bit too crazy-fan-ish, but thank god I'm not the only one!
I do think you're right. She rarely wears her hair pulled tightly back and up (I pointed this out in the Ontama thread amouring mentioned), but I really think never before without bangs. She looks cute.
As for the "bangs" vs. "fringe" discussion, in the US I always only heard 'bangs' to refer to hair cut short over the forehead. It has only been in the past few years that I started hearing/reading 'fringe' in reference to the same thing and it was pretty much exclusively used by people from outside of the US. Though I've never before heard crimped hair referred to as fringe, amouring. That's so interesting!
I must say, though, I've wondered what the global TV audience thinks about the newish Sci-Fi show, Fringe, because of the above differing usage of the word. |

Hey, my calendar came today
Oh wow, it so good, much better than what I expected. First of it is much bigger than what I expected, it feels very close to poster size. The quality of the prints is amazing too, and they really came out well, so much better than the scans.
Now I just have to decide whether to hang it up and use it, or to keep it somewhere safe where it won't crushed or damaged. |

Of course you have to keep it on safe place, & don't use it. |

| From the pics I have seen in this thread, they look quite good. But it's kinda expensive though. |
