the period for exams mugging have already started for me. like i said in my original post, she somehow helped in getting me better grades, for any subjects.
in a bid to try and mix things around abit, i tried listening to a mix of her songs with others while studying. i gave up on that. only ai-tunes can keep me perked up to study all through the day (and night)...  |

I wrote in a post yesterday that her music always cheers me up. That's true. And of course she is awsomely cute, too... and also fresh, inventive, surprising, and truly skilled with melodies and arrangements. There's an awful lot to love about her, and her songs last a long time for me, too!
These days, Ai's music has been how I've spent lots of evenings... playing her songs, and poking around the web. She's been keeping me "energized" haha... I use her music to recharge when I'm tired, to celebrate when I'm feeling energetic, and to comfort me when I feel a little stressed or down.
Ai-Chan is also one of the few J-Pop artists who manages to avoid sinking into what we call "Easy Listening" music over here. Her songs aren't the kind of songs that I want playing in the background while I'm at a store or a restaurant. They're more interesting than that, and I really like giving her songs my attention.
I think I recover lost brain cells by listening to Ai haha.
Very true. I have thought this before, too. I think at the first casual (unfocused) listen, one would not see what we all know about Ai-chan. I had even felt that way the very first time I heard her. I think watching her live performances have intensified this way of thinking for me. |

Well first, thank you all for accepting me as a member of this BBS. It makes me very happy to know I've made friends with other Ai fans!
I guess I'd just like to add one more thing. By this time next month, it will be three years since I fell in love with J-Pop. I'll always be grateful for that. Really, it's been all I listen to.
There are lots of artists I like for making good singles now and then, but so far, I've only found three artists who make consistently good albums where every song sounds good to me. Ai is definitely one of those three. Now, with sites like imeem and youtube, it sure isn't hard to get a good picture of the history of J-Pop, and three years is a long time to be looking for artists and songs to love. It's also a long time to be listening to the same three artists. I think that says a lot about the quality of Ai's work, especially when even her very early songs still sound good today. So far, I think that "Superman" is probably the only Ai song I don't play much. And her PV's are great!
I guess I'm not saying anything that other fans of Ai-Chan don't know already, am I? Oh, well... I just had to say it anyway... |

haha... to think that "Planetarium" caught my ears while i was working part time at a kinokuniya bookstore... before i knew the meaning, i was thinking: "Why does this song with this sweet sounding singer have an artillery explosion towards the end? Is this some deep song about war?" and that's how i come to find out more about her songs (and her composings)
i was listening to her songs as usual while riding my motorbike and it got me thinking that her songs are as "real" as they come. songs like neko ni fuusen encourages one to be his or her ownself, and not be too bothered with how others might think (though i don't think being rude, selfish, etc is something she likes). those encouraging songs like Hanaeri Tamago and Yumekui never fails to uplift a lazy spirit or a failed attemp. and for just plain fun, there's U-Boat.

i believe this has been repeated time and again.. it just hit me again today while i was wondering what is this girl doing to make me uplifted almost every single day...  |

I find that when I listen to Ai-chin's music I always feel a sort of warm feeling. I feel that with Ai's music unlike any other artist it has an ability to reach me and I can identify with the feelings Ai is putting into her music.
I've been listening to Ai's music for about 3 years now and her music effects me today just as much as it did when I first heard the song. The one song that I really get the most feelings from is 'Pocket', for me the song symbolizes all things winter which is my favorite season therefore I have a lot of attachment to the song. Another song that I really identify with is 'Cherish' purely because of the lyrics. I could probably come up with ways how each Ai-chin song effects me but I won't bore you.  |

We are all lucky to know Ai-chan as we do. So many others are missing out

Funny. because now that I know her so well, I am always happy to to hear her music playing at Uwajimaya or Kinokuniya here in Seattle. As soon as I hear it, it takes me straight to some performance of the song and I find myself deeply into the song while I am buying my Asahi Super Dry and natto  and other things of course! |
