Agree with Crystallas.
U don't have to buy all, but at least, one by year. We have to support her, but everyone do has he can of course. |

C'mon. Even if you don't have much money, you can at least buy one of these. Or a older album, I don't know. I don't want to coerce somebody to buy her new stuff, and I feel sympathetic towards people who don't have enough money. But the fact of the matter is that many people complain of bad sales and bad chart positions, but if you ask them if they bought the CD to support the artist they answer with "No". You know what I mean?
Well, now that's cleared up, it does make more sense. From the way you worded your first post, it sounded like you were saying that those who purchased her newest releases had the upper hand and privilege at calling themselves "true fans". So maybe that was misunderstood on my part. Personally, I think everyone coming together at Channel Ai is proof enough that they're true fans, aside from the fact on whether they buy her releases or not. Otherwise, what would be the point of this site?
But I think nowadays everyone is going to complain of poor chart rankings and sales, whether they supported an artist or not, because this is the era where technology is making things more accessible across the world. Rodri made a good point on how artists are leaking their music to gain more popularity. Half the time, these "promo CDs" we get of upcoming albums/singles are just tracks released onto the internet that were initially meant for a small audience. South Korea alone has said that they're in the process of upping their national internet speed to 1.3 GB per second by 2010. I don't know about anyone else, but with that type of advancement, buying entertainment through all these stores may just very well be eradicated! |
