Ouch, I cried out when I read these parts, Sneeze it's gonna hurt really badly I bet. Thanks for sharing your story, spellcheck, I agree that you can slip pretty easily during the end of winter, when those ice are so smooth on the surface. Tongue

Really appreciate your consolation, I'm feeling slightly better now, although I still can't bend my knee too much. It's not fun having one day off at all, I might need to work for one more day to compensate today's absence. My bike is still chained to the door near my work place as I said my coworker drive me back, I hope nobody gonna steal it or anything. Surprised

Well, I think this is a bad day for everyone. Sad

Today I almost set my house on fire. Sneeze I was making eggs about 2 hours ago when I was just about to put the butter in the pan. It went in and then started shooting around in the pan and it got really steamy. I picked up the pan to get it under control, but about a second after that, it just burst into flames. Mad I turned around, dropped the knife I was holding and turned on the faucet and put the fire out. Blank stare After that it was really smoky in my house for about 10 minutes. (Not to mention that my entire body was trembling for a while. Good God, have you ever held a pan on FIRE? No )

Ayaa...how could I let that happen? I'm such a horrible cook. Blank stare It was just like in February when I almost set the house on fire, only with Easy Mac... Sneeze I don't think I'll ever cook again...

Luckily you manage to put off the fire, happy to see you are bein fine now.
You should not give up cooking eh! No

Don't you ever know why your butter shoting around? I think that's bcos your pan is wet when you put the butter in, please don't panic even it shoting everywhere and it is no use even you pick up the pan. I used to shot by oil n butter when i cook the dinner for my family. Laughing

Just don't afraid of fire and hot oil/butter, so you'll be a good cook. Smile

Ahahaha, no, no, no, it was not wet. The heat was up too high. I was going to make some macaroni and cheese so I put a pan of water on the stove and set it on the highest setting. Then I changed my mind and decided that eggs would be a healthier choice, so I took the pan of water off and put another pan to make eggs in on the stove. I forgot to turn the heat down. Crying

I think maybe I won't give up cooking all together, because that would be hard to keep up. I'm alone all day in the summer and I can't always eat cereal. Laughing

Wow, Easy Mac can't be that dangerous can it? I usually cook two packet at once and you just need to put them in the microwave for like 5 minutes. Nod I have Easy Mac as my dinner today, lol I didnt' know what Easy Mac is few weeks back when people start talking about it in the "What's your favourite snack" thread. I bought some after that, mainly because I realized how shallow my knowlege is when it comes to western food. Crying Oh, and I like Easy Mac! Gonna love the chessy taste. (I bought the "Extreme Cheesy" one) Love

As Jason said, don't give up cooking! I'm not a big fan of cooking but sometimes it can be fun, especially after a day of sitting in front of the computer reading other people's comment in the forum (exaggerated) or playing Warcraft all day. Tongue

The thing with the Easy Mac that time was that I was feeling so upset that day that when I thought I should eat something, I put the noodles in the bowl and forgot to add the water. Voila, noodles burned to a crisp. I caught it after only 1.5 minutes, though, so I was lucky. It did smell like burned noodles for a few days in my house, though. Embarassed

YAAAAAY eyn likes Easy Mac! YESSS. That made my day (eh...night...no, morning). Easy Mac is my friend. Love I have tried some varieties of Easy Mac including the Extreme Cheese one but I thought the flavor had just a hint of vomit in it...so I just can't bring myself to eat it. Laughing It's a shame though, because seeing "Extreme Cheese" got me pretty excited. Laughing (I love cheese... Love) I used to cook two packets at once too, but then I got into the Big Packs. You should try it eyn if you like regular Easy Mac, it's really good! A lot better than the original kind, if you ask me.

Ahaha, I don't spend all day waiting for people to reply to posts here because I'd get pretty bored with that after a while. I don't think it's very fun reading a thread where the same person leaves a comment in every other post... Blank stare I just check back every now and then. Nod

Lol errr i think i know why your pan caught on fire.

You had too much oil rite? on the pan either that or u had water on the pan thats why the oil flew around...

ya i think thats it

your cooking method is prolly wrong.
Like jumping to step 3 without going to step 2

I changed the forum template a little so that now the pagination is shown at the top of the page as well. Hopefully someone will find it useful. Smile

Pagination: Previous 1, 2, 3, 4

I also changed the emoticons to pink colour, just for fun lol. Laughing There's actually a few colour scheme available, so yeah, if you think pink smilies looks better you can ask me to keep it a little longer. Tongue

* You might need to refresh to see the new emoticons

Crap, I find it VERY useful. It used to always bother me that I had to scroll all the way down to go to the next page...thanks for changing it! It's much better. Boogie
