^ haha, when i watched Ryuusei no Kizuna i had the same feeling. Smile while it was dark it had its hilarious moments, which unfortunately diminished as the series went on...
and of course i watched it because of Toda Erika, not Ryo or Nino. Wink

I've been watching (and nearly finished) Nurse Aoi for the last week. I've never been a fan of hospital dramas, and Nurse Aoi hasn't really changed my opinion on the genre, however there is one really good reason to watch this drama - Ishihara Satomi Love kawaiiness personified Laughing

@Crystallas - I've just added "Hotaru no Hikari" onto my never finishing list of things to watch.

^ haha, i totally agree about Ns' Aoi. i didn't think it was that awesome either, but you can't pass on a drama with Satomi-chan in the lead. Love loved her in Puzzle too (which was kinda lol otherwise). btw, a really good drama with her is Hyouten 2006, TimeLesSub will release a subbed version soon (hopefully), and i recommend checking it out. Smile
while Ns' Aoi wasn't all too awesome, i've really enjoyed the other hospital series i've watched, Code Blue and Dr. Koto Shinryoujo (waiting for season 2 from SARS). VOICE too, but i guess you can't really call that a normal hospital drama since everyone's already dead. Tongue

and Hotaru no Hikari.... i just love that series. one of few series i've watched twice.

right now i'm on a hold watching dramas, i need to study.

I watched before and i liked it too. it was hilarious! It was sweet at some parts too(the manager and her moments are sweet!)

Just finished Lady Castle / Please take care of my lady (Kdrama) and it is the typical fan-service type of plots. I liked it because of the tear-jerking parts, but this is certainly not the best kdrama out there.

edit: i just realised this topic is under J-dorama. =X

the last dorama i watched was Gokusen 3's Special. The usual teacher-to-the-rescue plot, but still it was entertaining. XD Im still waiting for Gokusen The Movie haha!

My turn to watch Shiori Haru now. Just finished episode 8 and I must this is an awesome series. Abe Hiroshi really put's in a great performance Smile

@mangomalte, yep looking forward to Hyouten 2006 once it is finished being subbed, though I think the best Satomi-chan performance I've seen so far was in H2. I know exactly how Sakaki feels now ... Laughing

I'm currently watching 3 series Giggle

I finally started watching Smile and I think it's a good series...though I don't always like Matsujun's performance - especially when he cries Shifty
but I like Gakki in this one! I normally don't like her too much but, YAY, she doesn't talk in this one so the reason why I don't like her (I'm not too fond of her voice) is gone Laughing
yeah, I can be mean like that... XD

the other two I watch are the currently airing doramas Tokyo DOGS and My Girl!
Tokyo DOGS is funny! funnier than I expected it to be! I'm really looking forward to watching ep 2! (today? =3) Boogie
aaand now on to my current favourite, My Girl!! I just LOVE the little girl to death! she's so so cute and makes me melt with her cute smile Love
her performance in general is simply awesome! Aiba is ok, too, but for me, the star of this series is definitely Ishii Momoka! LoveLoveLove

oh, I also started re-watching Tatta Hitotsu no Koi together with a friend...and it's still oh so kitschy Giggle

Haven't posted here in a while, mainly because I haven't watched anything much recently. Well anyway I just finished watching Shimokita Sundays, which is an absolutely crazy series. And yes Aya is the main attraction for this series ... I'm trying to think of another actress who could have played this role and really am coming up blank. Yep, there is a good reason Aya's No 1 Giggle Laughing

atm i'm watching Hyakunen no Monogatari with Matsushima Nanako. Smile i only have the last part left. it's pretty good, but the quality sucks... i think this is ripped from VHS or something. Laughing

i've got a few episodes left to watch, but i have to agree about Jun's crying. it just... doesn't get to me. on the other hand i love Gakky's voice (that is her talking voice... not that fond of her singing one), and while i miss it, it's still awesome to see her really going all out with her body language and facial expressions... she's so damn cute. Love

besides those, i've got... *counts* ehem... 16 full dramas i have or have not started watching... Sneeze

I've never really gotten into any J-dramas before (except Pretty Guradian Sailor Moon. Hah.), but I recently started watching Gokusen. I'll definitely finish it, because I love the manga, and you can never have enough Yukie Nakama! They made the drama more family-friendly than the manga, and Yankumi's characterdiffers a bit. But I don't mind, I can enjoy both versions.

I also watched the first episode of Samurai High School. It was pretty funny, but I think I'll have to watch a couple episodes more before I decide if I want to keep watching.

^^ I admit it too, didn't like it that much the first time, Sad second time it seemed so much better, though Trick is still better, I enjoy the lighter side of her. Smile

Yankumi's awesome makes up for the repetitiveness of the episodes! Laughing The manga is much better when it comes to story.

The first time I saw Nakama was when she played Sadako in Ring 0: Birthday. I was really impressed by her performance. But other than that and Gokusen, I haven't really seen much else that she's done. I will try and watch more of dramas, though!

Highly recommended are the movies G@me and Love and Pop-her first big role, from 1998.
Here's a video of L and P that's in the special features of the DVD, the song is so good! Love
