I think it's that time of the year were we can review the wonderful year of music! Here's how it will work. I'm going to post a few award categories and basically you vote for the best ones. The deadline will be December 29. I will be me painfully counting the number of votes on the day. I will give any nominations, you can choose anything you want that will relate to the category. I hope you guys have fun as this is something fun and new! I will list the award categories and you do the voting.
- Album of the Year
- Song of the Year
- Best New Artist
- Best Ai Otsuka Song of the Year
- Single of the Year
- Composer of the Year
- PV of the Year
This is all I can do so far for the first ever music awards. I'm an one-man army here but you may also suggest some ideas as well or even volunteer with the vote count.
You may start voting!!!! Have fun guys! Be sure to watch out for the new categories that come out time by time! |

oh I love these, what about Single of the Year and Composer of the Year?
Album of the Year
alan - Voice of Earth
Song of the Year
"Gate" - Yuna Ito
- I'll probably be the only person to pick this song, but I don't care. Epic does not even begin to describe this song. 'Nuff said.
Best New Artist
Sayuri Sugawara
- I know she has yet to fully prove herself but I like her release so far (which all have been officially released this year). I think her voice is crisp and clear. And she has been picked by Square Enix to do both the theme song as well as the insert song for Final Fantasy XIII even though she's a new artist (they have always picked veterans in the past) that must mean something ...

I like this idea a lot, but I won't give my review until the 29th of December. There are still some Releases I'm interested in, for example Ikimonogakari's new album "Hajimari no Uta".
I'll review the following categories:

SCANDAL debuted in the same year...the 51st Japan Awards counted them as New Artist. So Stereopony should be accepted!

- I've never heard a more boring, try-hard album. 
02. I KILL MY HEART - Tommy heavenly6
- OK if there's one album more boring than alan's second, it's Tommy's third. But at least the cover was awesome.
03. Cover Album - misono
- The only good new song was "Animedley I" ... It didn't even feature all of "Lum no Love Song" 
04. Hotaru no Hikari - Ikimonogakari
- It only sounded good on the album, but by itself? It was so extremely boring. Pair it with a boring B-side and you've got this single. |
