uhh...insomnia...
Are any of you interested in Japanese/Hong Kong street fashion like those featured in "FRUiTS" or "KERA" magazines? I've always admired these kinds of fashions. Wish I could wear them (to the less extreme, of course) Any one actually dress like this? Just interested to know. Recently, I've been delving deeper into the whole thing, and I found a lot of good online shops. All the stuff are so nice. Wish I could buy~ It's cool if you want to look hip and get all your friends jealous.
http://www.onatoko.com : this shop is my absolute favorite. Those tops are pretty gorgeous. Most of the things I really like are sold out, and they aren't massed-produced so they're not coming back... I really like that "fairy chic", "the classy paramour", and "the stylist look" a lot. Love the hat in "stylist"
http://www.cutxpaste.com/ : such cute stuff, but like above, a lot of good stuff are sold out. WHY?!?!?!?!
http://www.tokyogems.com/ : Pink, anyone? lol
I found plenty of pics on the internet via google featuring some streetwear in action, mostly from http://www.japanesestreets.com/. (Only 2 posted below, don't worry )
This outfit is especially adorable <-- how wild!
Of course, there are some shocking ones, but all in all I think it's pretty cool. Check them out~ What do you guys think? I'm dying to know!

Yeah, I'm sorta interested into the whole Japanese style and fashion. I visit FASHION JAPAN quite often also, but not recently though. I sometimes get "Oh my god, Ken, you look like Japanese tourist" from some of my a couple of my friends, I just take it as a compliment I guess . I usually just throw in random stuff here and there and most of the time it's usually just bright colored stuff, that's mainly how my style is. I just wear whatever feels comfortable at the moment. Those are some pretty nice links there broken::dreams, I'm saving those links, I'll definitely show those sites to my sister-in-law the next time she comes by my house... shes into this kind of stuff also. |

| Fashion streetwear in Japan is quite interesting. Quite cute and girly in my opinion. It does feel different from the typical European styles. |

Okay this is gonna sound funny, but ... uhh ... I buy Fruits and JJs every so often (they're great for costume design references)
My gf is in fashion school at the moment so she doesn't mind either, she gets free magazines to read and cut up for her projects
Thanks for those links to the stores, broken::dreams! I know my gf is going to love those! But I have a feeling I'll be paying for it |

| Anyone read or check out Zipper or non-no? I usually get those from my local bookstore but I haven't gotten any issue for past couple of months now. Each of the issue cost me around $7 but I think it's well worth it though. |

Cool site Clover!!! You are so right, I am so envious of the clothes.
I've heard of "Zipper" and "non-no", but I've never looked through one. The Japanese magazined that I read mostly is R&R Newsmaker, Pati Pati, and B Pass. lol. Not fashion. I look online for fashion, but I really want to get the latest "FRUiTS" book that came out in the US. I think it came out like last month? They have it on amazon, it's called "FRESH FRUiTS".
endoresu, why is that funny? It's okay that you get those magazines. There are a lot of street fashion for guys. But, I suppose in Canada, it may not be acceptable?
yuko, yeah, I've heard of those magazines. I especially like to look at the Gothic Lolita Bible. I myself would never wear any of those clothes, but they are cool to look at. I know some visual stars model for that magazine.
Well, where I live, people tend to mind their own business, so if someone was to wear things like that, then no one would really care that much. But, I personally don't have that much confidence or "aura" to dress like that. Wish I did, though, so cool~. |
