Chiaki Kuriyama is a model and actress. she's most famous for her roles in Kill Bill and Battle Royale. she is signed with sony records and will release a single for the new gundam series "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn". it's called "Ryuusei no Namida" and will be released on 2/24. her stage name is CHiAKi KURiYAMA (the three i's symbolize the three sides of herself: "my true self as a woman, my true self as an actress, and my true self as a singer.")

i gotta hear this. 
oh, btw, the release date you put should be 2010. i got a bit confused there for a while.

wow, seriously beautiful PV, and not just because it's Chiaki. slow motion to fast forward and back to normal speed... i love that stuff. the lighting is great too.
the song is really nice too. i'm gonna go put this on my iPod now!
and i like her voice, it's kinda soothing. i've heard better, but it's good. 
but i gotta say, i hate what they've done with the caps in the name.  ><
for Ai-chin it's okay to have small i's like in LOVE MUSiC and LOVE PiECE since it's just one i in those titles, but seriously, this is too much... "CHiAKi KURiYAMA" looks like some kid's trying to make it look cool and is failing pretty hard at it. 
on a side note, i loved her in Ashita no Kita Yoshio. <- awesome drama 
edit: i just saw that she's going to be in the upcoming Tekken movie (which i hadn't heard about until now ), and she's playing the role of Ling Xiaoyu! AWESOME! |

Oh wow ... Chiaki is singing now. Yea I've seen her acting in Battle Royale (the first time I saw her) and Kill Bill ... but wow ... still in shock that she's singing.
The song isn't great but listenable. She slightly better than when Miesa first debuted so hopefully she'll continue to improve.
I prefer the promo picture over the covers ... seems to the situation these days where the promo picture looks better than both covers XD |

yeah, the promo pic looks better than the cover. and you could take many screen caps from the PV and get a better cover too. still, the covers look good.
lol, i'm doing it again... listening too much to a new song until i grow tired of it.  it's just... i don't want to listen to anything else atm.
actually, it's like sakura says, the song isn't that very special, though it's good, and she can definitely improve her voice (i hope). still, somehow the song just grabbed me after a couple of listens. |
