Yeah, I think this topic is necessary in every forum . Basically you just give us a list with artists / bands / whatsoever you DON'T like.
Important note: This thread was not made for abusive and pejorative comments. Just tell the other members WHY you don't like a specific artist / band. I don't want to read any comments which are like that: "I hate him so much because he is ugly!" or "I hate her because she is such a wh*re", okay?
Oh, and also please don't get mad if one of your favorite artists appears in the "Hate-list" (Sry I can't think of another word ) of other members. Everyone has his own opinion and as long as s/he isn't abusive, everything's alright.
You can also give us songs, collaborations, album covers, etc. you don't like .
But as I said, always remember: Stay classy! |

| If it was necessary...then why didn't you start off a list? This is like a troll thread. |

| It looks like a troll thread just because I haven't posted my list yet? Aside from the fact that I'm not a troll, I was actually planning to post my list today but I'm still busy with homework and stuff. |

I kinda agree with 1337rice
And I don't think a thread like this is necessary. It doesn't makes sense to me to "discuss" what artists we don't like...and I think we may end up into fighting.
Well that's my opinion.
Sorry little Squid..don't be mad |

Yeah, actually I agree as well ... I think the thread like this will just cause conflicts.
And I'm sure plenty of people would get upset if they see there favourite artists listed here ... I know I would |

^i don't agree with you all .
if we have artists we like, we can talk about them .
if we have artists we don't like , we can talk about them too.
i think Crystallas idea was that we all can discuss about why we don't like X or Y artists . And if ppl begin to fight with other we MUST say stop.
Personally i am curious, if someone doesn't like an artist i love i think it interesting to know why and to discuss about that with the person .
We are not children anymore haha . Let's talk together . |

| ^ I think the same. It's boring if we always talk about how much we love an artist. |

I think it'd be interesting just to see why others dislike or hate the artists I like I know some of you (or most of you ) don't like Ayu while I adore her.
At the moment I can't think of any artists I honestly really dislike. There are just some with whom I can't connect, but they usually seem like nice people I suppose if I hated her music or acting, I would dislike Sawajiri Erika, but that's not the case so...
So...when you dislike an artist, do you guys dislike their image as an artist, their personality as a person, their voice, their musical style, or is it a combination of those things? I usually have to dislike every one of of those aspects to say I dislike them overall, and I haven't run into that yet.
Except maybe with some Western artists. I can't find it in myself to like Miley Cyrus. I haven't really connected with her music, I don't like how pretentious she tries to be, and I really don't like that she's just disregarded her image as a role model for young girls and just dived into this "sexy" concept. If she didn't like her music as Hannah Montana or Disney Cyrus or whatever, there's a classier way to transition out of it than her new song and image for "Can't Be Tamed."
Woah there. I should stop there xD But that's why I don't like Miley Cyrus. If anyone happens to like her, could you argue the counterpoint? I'm open to being convinced out of my own opinion
Also: I think we're all good friends enough and level-headed to know how to phrase our words wisely and minimize conflict, ne? |

This! I think so too.
Well, let me start on a few artists I REALLY dislike:
Dir en grey
I don't like Visual Kei in general, but Diru takes the cake. Seriously, this isn't music anymore, at least in my opinion . I respect Kyo because his lyrics are really deep and thoughtful, but that's it. They are just screaming and whispering their lyrics along the loud and aggressive music and earn tons of money like that. It's okay if you like them, but I think music shouls also be 'beautiful' at times - That's not the case with Dir en grey.
2NE1
Well, I'm a 4minute fan, so I HAVE to dislike these girls . Nope, joking apart. I really can't stand these girls. Well, actually I don't know how to begin. First of all, I think they are not talented at all. Their voices irk me, they sound so droning and disharmonious, especially CL. I know, she's a rapper and all, but I wouldn't even call her attempts of trying to sound like a gangsta rapping. Their dancing isn't that great either, the best example is Minzy. I mean, she is like the most overrated dancer in Korea right now. Everybody praises her for her ~amazing moves~, but I find her dancing boring. She is just shaking her butt and waving her hands around (Sorry for rude language, but that's the way it is). Then, there is Bom Park. Not to mention the fact that all the plastic surgeries ruined her, I think she is not concentrated at all. She always seems so tired and limp and so is her dancing. While the other members are already at Step #4, she's still at #3. I don't know why, but she don't fits to the rest of the girls. The only girl I can stand is Dara. I think she is pretty and she CAN sing.
As a whole, I think 2NE1 is nothing else but hype. YG promoted them as the female BIG BANG, and that's why they are famous and rich and got a lot of fans (If they would be a normal girlgroup like Secret or HAM, they wouldn't be as famous as they are right now). I also think that they are not pretty, even though everybody says that they are ~pretty queens~ and stuff like this. Have you ever seen this pictures on which they don't have any make-up on their faces? It was a nightmare, just so you know. Of course it doesn't matter if an artist is pretty or not, but this is nothing else but cheat to be honest. If you are not pretty, you shouldn't act like the most beautiful model on earth. I would respect them at least a little bit if they'd just accept themselves, but oh well...
Arashi / KAT-TUN / Kanjani8
Yeah, I'm clustering them because my arguments for them are all the same anyway. Actually I don't have to say much about them. I just don't like their songs because they are corny and annoying in my opinion. Not a big fan of their choreos and PV's either. I don't understand why japan likes them so much. They are always #1 at the Oricon Charts and other artists who even write their own songs and compose their own music don't get what they deserve. It's just unfair. I don't like boygroups in general, but I t think I prefer korean boygroups, because they got at least some charisma and cool songs. |

I totally understand where you're coming from. To be honest, I really like Diru and 2NE1.
It took me a while to get into Dir en grey, and it still takes me a moment to process them when I hear them. There's something about the pure screaming and growling that usually annoys me, but when I'm in the right mood, it just kills me. I myself am not a really loud person and I don't express my frustration, anger, or sadness in that way. So it's kind of...relieving? to hear Kyo make those noises. It's like he can do something I'm too scared to do. And of course, their lyrics are just haunting.
But I still like their melodic songs best. The group has a great ear for good arrangement, which is often overshadowed by all the guttural noises. GLASS SKIN was by far the greatest single from them, for me. It's only got one song that fits into the scream-o genre, the laughably titled "AGITATED SCREAMS OF MAGGOTS -unplugged-". But the remake of 'undecided' and the main song are really pretty, beautiful even This is the direction I wish they would take more often.
Of course, I'm not sure if you like this "lighter" form of V-Kei either, but I just wanted to share why I liked them
As for 2NE1...when it comes to K-Pop, if it's catchy, I like it For me they've got an interesting mix of personalities. You're right though, Bom was really cute even before the surgeries, I feel terrible that the societal norms pushed her to make that decision. I think she's got a great voice, but her dancing leaves much to be desired. They're a strong rookie group though, and they just need to stop relying on Teddy from YG to make them songs He's not as flexible as the production team from 4Minute. "I Don't Care" is like one of my favorite K-Pop songs ever though, it's so poppy yet so different from the electro-heavy songs in the industry right now. |

I used to like "I Don't Care" and their latest single "Try To Copy Me", but I got tired of them really quick . Oh, and "I Don't Care" wasn't even their own song. There was a huge plagiarism scandal because of it last year. |

@Octo, Crystallas: Most Korean pop music now seems to be focused on making stuff super mega catchy. There are a lot of examples I could name of this kinda of pop... As for 2NE1? I like them They definitely got swag. Except for Park Bom, she's just awkward (like her hairstyle in "Nal Ddarahaebwayo" ), despite being their best singer I love Dara, but I loved her long before that, when she was working in the Philippines as an actress. They aren't incredibly original, but can you blame them? They're a manufactured pop group, so they kind of have to look like what their labels tell them to look like. It's the same with other pop groups like them. They weren't the first of their kind, and they for sure won't be the last
Artists I don't like... hmmm... Well, I really dislike Big Bang. Just... ugh. I don't even wanna go near that stuff And Super Junior. I find their members just stupid |

I don't even pay attention to the "plagiarism" scandals anymore I probably should, but I don't even care nowadays. K-Pop is so saturated that everything's going to sound the same eventually. What was the song it copied though? I don't remember it at all.
And again, I love Big Bang But moreso their newer stuff for some reason. Like the Japanese work. |
