I listened to Kalafina's new album a few minutes ago. Seriously, I really don't like this album. All the songs sound the same and just everything about it is so boring.  |

I'm only five songs into the album but I don't mind the album so far. I never had any high expectations for this album though since it's Kalafina ... they're just not as strong as FictionJunction or FictionJunction YUUKA (imo) but I'm glad they're still around since they were just going to be a project group.
I dunno if the album will sell well but it's hard to say. Yuki Kajiura has some pretty hard core fans, so any works she's involved in, some fans will likely buy it. I'm getting it for the Anime Boston documentary. And Kalafina themselves have built a bit of a fanbase for themselves.
I personally prefer their first album at the moment ...
Edit: If you're into Kalafina, you'll like the album ... you may not like it if you're not into this unique kind of music ... but this second album shows more versatility than the first. There's more songs on the second album that I like but the first album has some songs that I really like .... |

「輝く空の静寂には」, a new song by Kalafina, will be used as an insert song in the Anime 「黒執事II」. The anime will start airing in July.
the single will be out on September 15th |

Kalafina is also coming out with their first live DVD/Blu-ray on December 1, 2010. Feathers the performance of Kajiura Produce 3rd Anniversary LIVE TOUR Kalafina LIVE 2010 “Red Moon” of June 12, 2010 (JCB Hall), as well as a documentary of Kalafina’s visit to Hong Kong that they did in March during the Asia Tour.
