Nukura if you like Xjapan and luputa you should listen to Nightmare. They're soooooo good. They've been around for about 3 years. They're so good. My favorite song is Varuna. You gotta check them out. They're my favorite J-rock band. Hey if you wanna know some sites to get some good nightmare pv's pm me. or request them somewhere. But you gotta check them out!
indie j-rock is not so mainstream j-rock. Um...stuff like kana, D, Deadman, Gullet, La'mule, Moi dix moi, and vogus image. Personally i'm not really into that kinda stuff. They're not different from normal j-rock. Just they're not as popular. But i guess there's some good indie stuff but i don't know. The only pure j-rock i like is Nightmare. And the only other j-rock i like is stuff like Plastic Tree (emo j-rock), AKFG (pop j-rock), GO!GO!7188 (pop/american 70s/punk j-rock).
Visual Kei is totally different, such bands as Pyscho le Cemu (which is pretty good acctually), Kagaraa, and alittle dir en grey (but they've become more mainstream). The difference is that those type of bands focus solely on looks. Most of the time their music kinda sucks. But they do have some good songs. I think Pyscho le cemu is the best example of visual kei.
here's some pictures:
http://www.jrock.hg.pl/images/gallery/psycho/psycho.jpg <- don't forget to look at this one. It's too big to fit the template.
I like some of their songs like kazeguruma, ai no uta, prism. But this band has like a new theme of costumes for every new single they have out (the new one looks pretty cool. The song for that one is called love is dead, which is their newest song). By the way, most visual kei bands are all guys. >_>; yeah even the ones that look and dress like girls. |
