Since I had a question about one of Ai's PV's, I thought 'why not make a topic for all PV FAQ's?'. Feel free to post any questions about Ai's music-videos. (some of them are so confusing)
My question. In "Neko ni Fuusen", why do the cats fly away on the balloons. And does Ai die at the end? This PV has been the most confusing for me. |

^The lyrics say 'i cant seem to put these feelings into words'; i guess that is why she doesn't say anything..
there is a discussion thread here about the short movie |

well tha man at kuroge actually fell to his reality lol, i assume he was dreaming
as for kingyo hanabi, PV not short movie, teh underwater ai is the kingayo, teh goldfist..and she represents the goldfish that lives in her heart (the first lyric of teh song)
at teh end since she coulnd touch his hand the underwater ai fell, died ad dissapear,,so the goldish at her haert died, she emotionally died after the loss of that person |

Hmm...Ai's PV's are probably the most confusing in all of J-Pop. XD
Suzuki Ami has a few confusing one's too. Like "Around the World" for example. |

I downloaded two of her PV's and I'm not sure of the title names of these 2 songs . see if you can help me out here,I'll give a description of them.
1.In the begining of this video,a japanese guy is eating and hears Ai singing.Ai Otsuka had a black outfit on,and had black chopsticks.they were both sitting at opposites sides of the table.
2.Ok,the second one is with a guy with a white Dog.I think at the very end Ai otsuka huged him.
I hope you guys know what I'm talking about.I this got into her music and i'm lovin it |

So, let me get this straight. "Kingyo Hanabi":
The black-dressed Ai is the "kingyo". She fell in love but knew she and the boy were never meant to be. However, she still hoped. In the end, the boy never returned his feelings; thus ending her short summer-length life.
Okay, I get that part...but what does the white-dressed Ai on the island represent? And what are the little fire-crackers things for? Me no get it... |

The thing about music and lyrics is that they are like poetry. They're meant to express feelings, moods, and situations that cannot be exactly described. Instead of having a specific meaning, they try to stir up feelings in the listener, drawing on our individual experiences, so they have a different meaning for everyone.
For example, in Kingyo Hanabi, when Ai is sitting next to the boy, her heart is pounding, and she's scared. She's trying to call up the courage to do or say something, and finally she looks away, and her hand starts to reach out towards his ... but just before she gets there, he gets up and walks away, without noticing. She's a moment too late, and missed her chance.
For me, that scene stirs up powerful emotions -- a unique blend of disappointment, regret, loneliness, and sadness. I've been in situations like that a few times, when a girl I like is right there, but I can't find the courage to do anything about it. One wrong move, and maybe the friendship will be ruined. Or maybe it's somebody I don't even know. Time passes, and more time passes, and finally the opportunity is gone, and I spend the rest of the night kicking myself.
It's impossible to describe this situation to someone. They must have had similar experiences to really understand it. At the same time, we all have unique experiences, so for each of us, the understanding will be a little bit different.
And that's the beauty of music (and every other kind of art). It's like a mirror, or a reflection in a pond; you see yourself in it, and that's what gives it true meaning. |

you found that the the underwater ai is the "kingyo", then how come and you didnt think of the upper ai as the "hanabi"?
the colors are very hanabi like as well.
the underwater ai is the goldfish that lives in her heart (the first lines of the song) and at the end of the PV she dies, so the goldfish in her heart dies.
I just love it that both the song itself and the PV fills in the story |

So the white Ai is her memories or something? |
