| Anyone know more information about her band? I assume they rotate or something. That's kind of sad in a way. A couple members that stuck out last year don't seem to be with her anymore, at least in the latest PVs on TV performances. Those would be the drummer with the mohawk, and the female guitarist who also sang backup vocals. I'm sure there are others. |

I just rewatched some of Ai's performance and I notice that the mohawk drummer and the female guitarist was in her very first performance of Amaenbo. They started to dissapear from her performance since Kingyo Hanabi, since Ai usually perform Kingyo Hanabi by herself with a piano. Then comes Daisukidayo where Ai's usually performs with a string orchestra in the background. When it comes to Kuroge Wagyu, all those old band members are gone.
I do missed the Mohawk guy and the female guitarist, and there's one more male guitarist with a silly hair. They appeared in some of the PV such as Happy Days and Sakuranbo, but now they're gone.
I wonder if they will come back sometime later, which I really hope so. Those new band members doesn't have look as awesome as the old members! I remember seeing enrique and yoshio (both ayu's guitarist) since ayu's very first TV performance of poker face, and yet they are still with ayu till today, that's a band that really grows with the artist. |

yeah its kinda amazing. i mean Ayu is really independent, i think avex knows that they can't mess with ayu too much as she is stubborn and she likes to do stuff her own way. Ai-chan is still 'youngster' and beginner on the scene, i think avex has much to say about what Ai should do from music to looks. of course ai composes her music but still avex always care about the image. the best thing about Ai is that she is really honest in what she's doing and the image that avex gives her is just herself. its her true self. |

| lots of artist have back up everything, or like extra band members. Besides in some of the songs in love jam she has lots of famous indie artist for their whatever they need. I think is more of ai asking for favors to different songs. But she still makes her own music so it doesn't really matter. But i think the most consistent 'extra' members either ai's friends, or given through avex. But iunno. |

So I was watching some YUKI performances from a year ago (JOY single) and noticed the guitarist looks a lot like Ai's current guy. Are they one in the same?
I still miss the drummer with the mowhawk from Ai's 2003/4 performances. I wonder who he's playing with these days, if at all. |
