I think Ai can dance just fine. At least it's funny
But I oculdn't really care less if she can't dance. To me, she's all about music. I don't mind her looking cute though
I was rather surprised to find someone with knowledge of music theory here
I don't like to analyze music too much but I'll usually say more than my friends about a song |

^I've always found Classical and Jazz completely different...specially since Classical doesn't sevenths and tensions as much as Jazz...
Yeah...a good keyboard is expensive
I'm doing a major on Piano at University, but I don't have a piano yet just a keyboard...I'm going to buy a piano as soon as I have the money |

Well yeah practically everything in jazz is seventh chords while in classical they're used for a purpose
Kind of strange that you can study playing without a piano. I remember in the conservatory that I went to had strict rules that if you wanted to take piano classes, you had to have a piano. Isn't the feel really different on a piano and a keyboard? I'd guess something like a $2500 keyboard has a piano-like feel to it.
I was looking at a Yamaha MM8 as an option, 88 key synth with aftertouch and of course, for making songs it has some quality sounds. Just for practising I could probably do with a $100 keyboard but I want to get something decent. |

^No..the feel isn't so different since my keyboard has weighted keys like a piano.
And anyways I can practice in the pianos anytime at University
About the quality sounds...you could get a cheap keyboard and connect it to the computer via MIDI, and you can get virtual instruments.
I know of a great virtual piano called "Pianissimo". It sounds really good |

One other thing I'm wondering is how to get sound out of the keyboard. I suppose they can be connected to a standard stereo amplifier? Do you just use headphones or do you have it connected to something? |

^Do you mean a normal keyboard? or an only MIDI one?
With a normal keyboard the sound comes from the speakers that come built in the keyboard, they can also be connected to an amplifier or headphones, and they have MIDI in and out.
There's also the MIDI only keyboards that don't produce any sound by themselves and you need to connect then to a sound bank on the computer via MIDI.

Yes I meant a keyboard that doesn't have speakers, like most of the synths or workstations out there. I think they have outputs for midi and about everything but I was wondering if I really need a keyboard specific amplifier or if it's fine to just hook it up to a hometheater stereo receiver. There's not that many keyboard amplifiers to choose from is what makes me wonder, how do people use these things. You'd think if there was demand, there'd be lots of options. There's not really any effects to be added after the signal leaves the keyboard, just needs a 'device' to output the sound as all the processing happens within the keyboard.
In other news, I just preordered the Love is Best Tour Final DVD, looking forward to that one! Like the only thing in my life that I'm looking forward to. |

Mine is Kingyo Hanabi (Ai am Best Tour).
Besides that's a very special concert for me because is one of the few original stuff I have from Otsuka, and it came with a booklet with beautiful pictures of her |
