Thanks for the support, especially those people who's joined the Last.fm group. I'm not sure why it still says it needs at least 15 members before a statistical result can be generated. Maybe it's because some of you guys still haven't setup your player to be able to submit your playing list to Last.fm.
btw, as a sidenote, I recommend you guys to use foobar2000 because it support unicode tags and uses very little resources even if you have a huge playlist.
If you have problem making foobar2000 to work with audioscrobbler, you can send me a PM asking for help, or just ask it here. If you have problem getting foobar2000 to display unicode in the playlist, try getting the 0.9 beta10. |

foobar2000 doesn't have a skin itself by default, it uses Windows visual style. I'm using areao4 at the moment so that's why my foobar2000 looks like that. That's one of the thing I love about this program, you don't have to find skin for it.
Thanks for telling me about the weekly generated chart thing. |

Well, I hope more people can join the group so we can generate more accurate chart for Channel-Ai. Here's the chart for the first week since the group was made:
Weekly Top Artists (Oct 2 to Oct 9, 2005)
1. 大塚愛 (Ai)
2. 浜崎あゆみ (Ayu)
3. 宇多田ヒカル (Hikki)
4. BoA
5. 安室奈美恵 (Namie)
Weekly Top Tracks
1. 大塚愛 - GIRLY
2. 大塚愛 - Always Together
3. 大塚愛 - pretty voice
4. 宇多田ヒカル - FINAL DISTANCE
5. 大塚愛 - Sakuranbo
For more information about the chart, check it out here. It's quite funny to know that GIRLY got the top track, I thought most people hated that song.
As a sidenote, take a look at top track no.5, it's written as Sakuranbo instead of さくらんぼ. In order to generate more accurate result, I highly recommend all of you to use Japanese tag for your songs, don't use "Sakuranbo" but use "さくらんぼ". Also, always tag your mp3, I really hate to see [unknown] being one of the top artist, it doesn't make any sense. |

I have some questions about Last.fm that I can't figure out. After registering a new account, you are requested to download the last.fm player. First, is this last.fm player similar to the Yahoo Launchcast Radio which you stream radio. Second, if last.fm player is what the first question is, then is the Channel-ai group going to launch a radio streaming channel?
*If you guys are, that is awsome |

| All I know about the radio, is that it plays music based on what you've listened to and what your neighbors are listening to. You can listen to the radio based on Channel-Ai members by clicking on "start radio" button on the upper right of the page. This will play songs based on the members' listening habits -if- they are available to stream by last.fm. |

just curious, how do othes tag? i used to use window media player, but switch to itunes.
and i've notice that for Ami Suzuki, on my computer it reads ¹a¤ì亜¬ü. but on last.fm it reads ¹a¤ìあみ. any idea why this is happening? |

I tag mainly using Winamp. But then I use iTunes when I'm tagging specially for my iPod.
As for using last.fm, I just use the audioscrobbler plugin thing in Winamp. |

| I use iTunes for tagging. Aprillis, the characters you've written come out weird in my computer (all I see is the third kanji in the first one and the hiragana "a" and "mi" in the second one), and I'm not sure if that's what you mean. Do you mean that her first name is written in kanji in last.fm it turns up in hiragana? Has she used hiragana in her name before avex? I know that this is her avex debut and her singing debut in a while. If so, then last.fm would put it under her previous spelling to keep everything neat and because so many people had her name that way before. |

the characters didn't show up properly on my computer either (weird...) but yes, that's what i mean. i'm not sure which name she used with her last label. |

Ok, I checked SONY's official site. She did in fact use the hiragana for her name while on that label, so that explains why last.fm would list her name that way.
