For those interested I am doing a sort of weekly post on Ch-Ai Blog on her promotional videos from her new album. I already did Microphone & Sexy Little Things. Thought someone might be interested in reading or even posting their own interpretations |

So...what was the final verdict on Rock'n'Roll Circus?
I have an impenetrable Ayu bias, so basically I have nothing but praise for the album. No, it's not her most innovative album, but I think it's really nice. The songs are solid, for me. There's something about it that's more immediate to my feelings than NEXT LEVEL, but not as raw as GUILTY felt. |

maa, so excited! I really hope she does the kachoufuugetsu theme (I think that's what it's called.) She'd be such a master with it.
I like what I hear of MOON so far, but I have yet to decide on blossom. Right now it's a hit or miss for me. |

Garg, new Ayu news I'll wait till that's out.
As for "Rock n Roll Circus", at first I wanted to blow it up with a missile But after a few listens, it's not that bad. The ones that stood out more are "Last Links", "Sexy Little Things" and "Microphone". "You were..." sounded much better on the album too, even better than "Ballad" did, when they were on the single Still...it's a bit of a disaster, kind of like "Guilty" meets "Next Level" halfway.
I still stand by my point in saying that Ayu should take a break |

The font sort of reminds of the font she used for "Unite!" and the font for "Sunrise/Set -Love is All". The picture is pretty glam, but that's expected She looks nice, I like it
Her hair and makeup remind me a lot of Miliyah Kato's cover for her single, Last Love:

| I'm not too fond on it, but it looks way better than the cover for "Sunrise / Sunset"... |

The songs themselves don't sound very innovative, but "MOON"s PV was really cool, I think it beat out "Moments" in terms of atmosphere. "Blossom" is wild, not what was expecting at all! Better of the two songs, I think
I have yet to hear the remixes though. |

I really like the MOON PV, to the point where I made a set for it But I don't know if I want to use it yet. But see, see? -points-

As I was making screencaps, I was really impressed with the editing. The cuts are perfect, and transition in a disturbingly flawless way. There's one bit at the end where pretty Ayu on the couch grips her head and immediately it switches to ink-covered her and the hands trail from her head down and I had a double-take! Like "Wait...wasn't that just one scene?"
Both songs are growers on me, but the kind where I like them from the start and it only gets better. 'blossom' was such a surprise for me! Hearing it in the CM, I didn't expect to live it very much. But the full version just a pleasant surprise! And I love the Microphone remix. I'm a sucker for that style of remix. The Lowbrows are really good. The other ones were kind of weak, tbh, I hated how her voice sounded in the 'Last Links' orchestra version, which was a shame, because I love 'Last Links'. 'meaning of Love (acoustic piano version)' was really pretty, I liked that one. |
