Oh I forgot about popcorn and all the other costs
personally, I never eat or drink anything when I'm watching movies, i get annoyed by any kind of distraction at all actually
like when my friend occasionally makes offhand comments, or people behind me continuously munch some grub as though that was all they came to do (to annoy me)
I finally started playing FF13 today
feels nostalgic for some reason, like FF7, FF8, FF10 and FF12 all combined into a new and different game
I still haven't played any Kingdom Hearts games though (I know I should ) |

My estimates for movie costs didn't include food or drinks That'd be way too expensive! We usually go to the Dollar Tree, by some crap there, hide it in our purses, and then go to the movies Cheap, plus we got refreshments
It can definately get annoying listening to the people munchin' and chattin' (teenagers, especially, and I am a teenager!!)... but we're selfish and eat candy anyways
Zone of Death?? I like horror!! Zombies are so flippin' terrifying-- which is exactly why they rock so much!
*insanely interested* What happens?? ... other than the zombies... |

Well, I forgot to tell you goodbye and all, but you probably noticed my absence. I visited a Rock / Hip-Hop Festival with my friends and it was amazing. I enjoyed nearly all the concerts and the atmosphere was great! I saw some of my favorite german artists as well.
Anyway, today was my first day at school after the summer holidays. I was glad to see all my classmates again. |

Oh my god, the freakiest thing just happened!
Me, my mom, and twin were on our way home from Costco when, at a red light, suddenly there's this huge boom... You could hear it, you could feel it, it scared the living daylights outta us
First assumption: some of the groceries fell over
Light turns green a couple seconds later and we just start to move when-- "Boom-boom!" There it was again!
Second assumption: there's something wrong with the car
We pull over. Mom checks out the car, but nothing looks broke; everything looks perfectly fine. So, we call my dad. He's clueless. We'll just drive home and hope we live. As we get movin' again, we drive past Tacoma Power. Everyone's outside and there's a cherry picker at the top floor!
Third assumption: something happened at Tacoma Power
Within the same eyeblink, Mom's cell's ringin'. It's dad. "The car's fine. We felt it, too," he said. So... we felt it in Tacoma... and they felt it in Seatac
Together, we remember: Obama's in Seattle
But this's all speculation! Nobody's tryin' to kill Obama with a bomb... we hope... Either way, though, now we're really freakin' out. So Mom's flippin' through all the AM radio stations. Nothin'. For 'bout ten minutes, just flippin' through, none of the newscasts so much as mention it
Finally, we find a station. "Not ten minutes ago, Western Washington was rocked by two loud 'booms'. Our call centers have been overrun with accounts..." and so-on, and they bring on an eyewitness account. Apparently, this guy felt it while in in his house, on the computer, and it cracked his back window. Once he finishes his story, the reporter tells us they've only just recieved a reason behind the booms
The answer: F-15s creating two sonic booms
When the president's in town, the airspace is restricted within a certain radius of his location. Some unknown aircraft violated this restricted airspace. Resultingly, two F-15s raced up from Oregon, and, in their hurry, accidentally created some sonic booms...
It's a good yet bad result, but no matter the real reason behind those booms, it was terrifying
I wonder... has anyone else had such a-- a mindblowing experience?? (This happened less than a half hour ago, so I'm still kinda freakin' out ^^') |

wow, I can imagine how terrified you must have been Alde
I've been near a sonic boom before, it was at this hilltop style national park overlooking a gorge, when suddenly this huge explosive sound just erupts out of nowhere and echoed all around, really did feel like an earthquake because the ground had definitely shaken, ears were sore afterwards and everybody looked shaken
What on earth were those planes doing so low anyway? Kinda disturbing just thinking about it.
Obama wouldn't have been a happy bunny that day
I have little else to report, busy with work, tired and frustrated.
Maybe its the same for everyone else
"Salt" and "The Expendables" on my hitlist to watch next week.
"Zone of Death" isn't out yet here, zombie films tend to be more humorous than horrific though |

@Rodri
Yep. a twin and an elder sister
@Mello
A gorge! If anything, that'd amplify the boom...
Just the [i]idea[/i['s freaky loud!
Why'd something explode so close to people?? --Better question: what blew up??
The presidential airspace had been invaded by an unidentified aircraft, so those Portland planes were just in a huge rush to get here quick as possible. The sonic booms weren't intended, but unavoidable the moment they exceeded the sound barrier ...
*relieved sigh* After several hours, though it was finally released that the intruding craft was actually just a float plane that'd accidentally wandered into the restricted airspace by accident; landed and apprehended before the jets even reached Seattle And Obama even took off fifteen minutes early (apparently he loves being early UNLIKE CLINTON! ) |
