I'm a 56k dial up user.
Download speed from 0k up to 6kb/s.
Anyone there as pathetic as i do??
If you look at my post up above, you'll see that I'm in the same wonderful boat. Isn't dial-up wonderful? What I especially hate about it, is the fact that so many things I like have to be downloaded from the internet. I just don't have access to them where I live. I would thoroughly enjoy being able to download J-dorama's and PV's by the bucketfull, but it's just not possible. I have managed to download a good number of PV's over time, but it takes at least 4 hours if not more per PV. I can't even imagine how long it would take to download say an episode of Tokyo Friends. I feel like I'm stuck in the stone age here. |

hey madgirlslovesong, though i'm using dial up, i still have lotsa PV downloaded from same sharing tools.
I've never download anything from yousendit or megaupload by my computer. i did those at my cousin's place where broadband is available.
if i had broadband connection, i'd download every single thing regarding Ai.
I do not have Tokyo friends, Bidama PV, Daisukidayo Love story. I have the rest of her PV by downloading them patiently! I called ppl to get me Cherish, Momo, Kinyo Hanabi short film and Amaenbo PVs. I'm still on the way to download Ai's PVs...
My frens who studying in the UK and ireland, downloading anime all times. I wish i could do that too. I have a DVD writer so i could just burn everything i downloaded...
Actually dial up users are quite rare nowadays, ain't? |

However in my house there is 2 computers and the other one has a wirless connection using a broadband router on this one. It dosn't slow it down at all when the other one is not running. |

well pandarryking, i'm having the 512kbps package too. Do notice that the 512kbps is 512-kilo-bit-per-second, but not kilo Byte per second. Therefore, it is extremely slow. I'm currently downloading Ai's live dvd which is 1.57Gb, and it is downloading with the speed of 20+kBps, which is going to take 1 day plus to complete. I think u guys out there who are having T1 connection would understand our pain... |

Now i'm still downloading the file, with the average speed of 19kb/s. Reached max of 30kb/s, that's all. And kazfz, ur connection with the speed of light is really making me envy... bout 20 times faster than mine. So if a file is 1Gb, guess it'll take u a few hours... |

| here in aus 1mb/s is like the highest we can get. it is very bad compared to britain which has like 13.8mb/s (don't quote me on it..its from memory from a newspaper report because telstra..one of our leading communication networks here in aus has decided to pull the plug on a 4billion deal in upgrate our internet connection) but the one i'm using now is 512k/128k which is fast enough for me . (not so apparent for my brother apparently) but my d/l was going at close to 500k the other day =D |
