I absolutely LOVE the Artemis Fowl books... I think they're wonderfully written and have sympathetic characters in them... *wavesartemisflag* ^^ (-> http://www.artemisfowl.co.uk/ or http://artemisfowl.tripod.com/ )
Anyone else know them?

I read the first book. which I immensely enjoyed. I then read the second book considering its predecessor was good, but it didn't live up to my expectations, though an all right read nonetheless..... I then tried the third book when that came out.... I couldn't bring myself to finish it.... I didn't find it good anymore... It just lost its flare... It was good the first time round, but thats it. Confused

Though I do think Artemis Fowl is a cool person. Nod

I love the Artemis Fowl books! I've read them all except the 4th one, and I definitely plan to read it some day. It's such a cool series! A movie is being made of it too, if you didn't know. I hope the movie does the books justice.

I love Artemis Fowl, those books could so beat up Harry Potter if books could.

Anyway, The original is the best of the four.
The sequel sucked pretty bad.
The third one was worse than the second.
The fourth one is the second best. I love Opal! ^ - ^

When's that moving coming out?! Blank stare

I honestly think the second one is the best of the bunch... the third one is okay, and the fourth is pretty cool, too.
Somehow, though, I'm dreading the movie... I guess I've seen too many bad movies made out of good books Laughing

first, let me make one thing clear.

ARTEMIS IS MINE. HE IS MIIIIIIIIIIINE.

ok, now that we've cleared that up. xD i also like The Arctic Incident the best. However, i was very, very disappointed with The Opal Deception. it's just too much of a good thing, you know. sticking with three books would have been better.

hey, have you guys read the Artemis Fowl Files? the two short stories are great (no pun intended Laughing ) i thought the rest of the book was kind of redundant though.... especially the crossword puzzle and invention diagrams Blank stare it's like, FILLER!

They're interesting, although quite simple in terms of writing. The first book was good, the second book was a "meh", and the third book makes me fall asleep. Although Artemis is an interesting kid, and it's an interesting sci-fi, I kind of grow out of it after a while.

I still re-read the first book though. But sci-fi lost interest for me and I'm moving to the classics.
