It always sounds weird to hear someone doing coversongs. Like 4inLove doing a cover of Morning Musume's Renai Revolution 21. It just souns weird. This one is not bad but I like the orginal Momo no Hanabira much better. |

Hahaha I dun really like Cpop female artistes but I'm really surprised to hear that Cyndi Wang does a cover of Ai's song. Anyone can offer an upload so I can judge between the 2 versions? Cyndi Wang is a really bland and dull artiste and even her looks can't sustain my interest in her or her music. Anyway, recently, I heard a Chinese cover of Yuna Ito's Endless Story on my local radio station 93.3. Anyone knows who sang this version? Besides a slight tempo problem, it sounds okay. |

I Don't mind Cyndi my self or the fact that she can't sing as good as other artists, after all when I first herd Ai I thought I was listaning to an X Facter reject, but she grew on me after a while.
Some of the trouble with the song not beeing all that great ,could down to it being translated from Japanese to Chinese, and while Japanese has roots in Chinese, there's bound to be some trouble getting the song to sound right. |

| I listen to a lot of Cpop.... but I never liked Cyndi Wang much cuz her voice kinda always made me bored..... and 'Momo no Hanabira' is a lot better than her version.... at first I figured that since she made a cover of the song.... then it must be a good song..right..? But still...not all Chinese artists are bad.... I enjoy listening to Cpop every once in a while..... |

If a singer can't improve a song by doing a cover of it, they shouldn't do it, right?
It's sad that a bad cover of Ai was made, though. |

I don't think it was a bad cover. I like them both. You can't just say that she shouldn't have done it. Different people have different tastes. I personally think that Cyndi did a good cover. I'm happy she did it too, it's nice listening to variations, and a song in another language. |

| Thanks for the link. But to me, Cyndi Wang is really disgusting compared to Otsuka Ai. The beginning was the first give away because "Momo no Hanabira" is one of my favorite songs so I know it well! And then the way that she sang it to go up at certain places and in the chorus, and how she replaces 'momomomo...' with loving you!! I used to just dislike her before, but now I pretty much hate her music. Her voice isn't really fit for the song because she sounds hesitant to sing high, whereas Otsuka Ai can sing it in a normal calm voice. |

Actually,... they both kinda sound the same to me..
And to add on to your "list", there's also another chinese cover of ポクの背中には羽根ガあろ by Kinki Kids. They are both quite nice actualy.. |

Actually... I was a fan of Wang Cyndi before I knew Ai Otsuka, and now I think that Ai Otsuka's a hundred times better than her beocos' of her originality even though I still support both ^^...I hope noone would insult C-pop just becos' of this as there is simply no reason to... |
