YUI is my favourite singer.
Not only her voice is beautiful, she's a real beauty herself.
The thing I like most about her is her humanity, she's not (yet) one of this superstars, which are no real people anymore.
"Life" is my favourite song at the time. I'm totally addicted to it.
I'm so curious what her album will be like.

Haha, I was listening to Yui this morning and my boyfriend thought it was Ai Otsuka! Giggle I really like her style, though, she has a good voice and good, simple songs. Smile

THe new album is very good...... But the only thing bad is that, she is very very one-dimensional. They are all pop-rock. I know it is her style, but I'd like to see her diversify a bit..... maybe do some hard rock..... *thinks about it* maybe not >_>

But overall, a very strong and steady debut.

My favourite non-single tracks are Swing of Lie and Spiral & Escape.

^^^^ gotta agree the new album is quite good.
not that, that it would be a stand out album but i think its been selling great if im not wrong.
Lolz i would like to see YUI doing ballads. Like Ai´s Planetarium, Kingyo Hanabi etc. style but i think YUI´S voice dont fit in ballads. She is the pop-rock girl like HilaryDuffFanboy said. But mayby its better that she stayes in rock-pop and dont change her style in a while.

That's right.... her voice doesn't really suit singing in my opinion... she can't do much with her voice... If you got her to sing PLANETARIUM or Kingyo Hanabi, I'm quite sure her voice would not hold up....

I've seen two or so interviews of YUI on youtube.... she speaks so softly and is so cute!!!

I would actually hate to see YUI change her style! She's just burst onto the music scene and this style is what has made her so popular. It's fitting to her, in my opinion, and I find it refreshing and different to most everything else out there! If she were to change she'd just sound like every other artist out there. I say she should stick with rocking out with the acoustic guitar and stay with her current style for at LEAST a little while longer. While it might be interesting to see her play around with different genre's and such, I think she's doing just fine where she is and I like it that way.

I just discovered Yui today through last.fm

An Ai-chan lover had Yui as her second most listened to artist so I have to check her out. There's some very cool songs on the album. I also read that she's starring in a movie that's being released in Japan next month. It looks like an interesting plot so I'll hope to see that sometime.

I've just recently saw the preview for "taiyou no uta", as well as the PV for the song "good-bye days". I like the song, although, I'd like YUI to branch out her creativity a bit more. As for "taiyou no uta"...from what I've seen from the trailor, as well as the bit in the PV, she's only an okay actress, not really anything phenomonal, but not terrible either. But, we'll really have to wait for the full movie to be released to make a sure-fire decision on her acting, won't we? After all, she signed to SONY as a musician, not an actress, and although SONY is making her act in this movie, it doesn't mean that she's the best person for the role...

Good-bye Days is a really good song... but I don't it was too wise to choose another ballad for a single when her last single was also another ballad. But anyhow, it's really good.... Taiyou no Uta seems really good, although from what I gather just from watching the trailer, it sort of reminded me of 1 Litre of Tears since she apparently has some chronic illness... and a guy likes her and probably doesn't know... I don't know, but I really want to watch... YUI is so cute...

Well, all this time, YUI has been doing a nationwide tour! I didn't even know. Tongue
Here's a report on it (in Japanese >_<) and the setlist.

^ Yeah, I'm totally in love with "Good-bye days." It's a really catchy song. (My least favorite single is "TOKYO...") Well, they've been releasing a lot of clips of Taiyou no Uta at the main site, and so far it looks like a really sweet story (plus Tsukamoto Takashi is hot Love and YUI's a good actress). Do you think YUI is losing or gaining popularity?
